Luo Ming's memoirs – Chen Pixian

Finishing: People who don't shoot mountains

When we arrived in Shanghai, we first found my cousin Luo Hanghuan, who lived downstairs from his house, and there was a cousin Luo Dijin living upstairs. When I was in Jimei, I read with this cousin, and later he went to work in a newspaper office in Singapore, went to Shanghai to smoke opium, and fell. Before we came to Shanghai, he heard that Luo Hang arc sent me money, and I was coming to Shanghai, that is, in collusion with The Kuomintang agents, to set up a conspiracy to arrest me. How could we have imagined that for a mouthful of opium smoke, for a few stinky money, our brothers would dare to betray?!

As soon as they met, he pretended to be affectionate, saying that there was a hospital in the concession, and the cost was cheaper, and advised me to treat my illness quickly. After Xiaomei met him, she felt that this person was not good. I said that seeing a doctor was not a big problem and did not arouse enough vigilance. The next day, I took two rickshaws with him to see a doctor, he was in front and I was in the back. When I got to the edge of the concession, I had a premonition that something was wrong, so I called for a stop, and they didn't stop, in fact, the agent had already ambushed there, so I was arrested again. They took me to the Public Security Bureau. I saw a lake on the second floor of the Public Security Bureau, and there was a forest by the lake, so I planned to jump off the building and escape, but they noticed and immediately pushed me into a room and locked it. I fell to the ground, vomited blood, and lost consciousness.

Soon, the guards opened the door and saw that I was unconscious of vomiting blood, so they quickly called for help, sent me to the hospital, gave me injections and medicines, and gave me first aid. A few days later, Luo Qiaojin came to the hospital to visit me on a false note, and asked me where I went after studying in Jimei, Xiamen, and what did I do? I knew his intentions and scolded him: "You want to harm me? Can't do it, if you want me to change my determination, you can't do it, otherwise, you take the knife, I will chop off my finger and you see! At the same time, he warned him that he was not allowed to write anything or publish words in my name, otherwise, I would definitely think of dealing with you.

Later, Luo Qiaojin went to find Xie Xiaomei, and did not dare to say that I was arrested by the public security bureau, only that I was hospitalized. After he took Xiaomei to the hospital, he quietly left and told Luo Hang arc about the situation. Then Luo Hang arc went to find Luo Yunqiao again. Luo Yunqiao and he are brothers, opening a biscuit factory in Shanghai, a little money. After Luo Zhuoying, commander of the Kuomintang Eighteenth Group Army, graduated from high school and went to Shanghai that year, it was Luo Yunqiao who sponsored him to complete the Baoding Officers' School, so Luo Zhuoying never forgot Luo Yunqiao. When Luo Hang arc told me about my arrest, Luo Yunqiao said that Luo Zhuoying had just returned to Suzhou from Jiangxi and could go to him. Therefore, Luo Yunqiao took Luo Hang arc and others to Suzhou, found Luo Zhuoying, and told me about my waiting all the way in Guizhou; at the same time, he told Luo Qiaojin about the secret, so that I was arrested by the public security bureau and other facts.

According to Luo Hang'an's later remarks, Luo Zhuoying heard about this situation and reprimanded Luo Jiaojin on the spot: "I looked for Luo Ming everywhere in Jiangxi, and I also informed the troops, and if I was caught, I couldn't kill indiscriminately, so how could your brothers go to inform?!" ”

Because Luo Yunqiao came forward, Luo Zhuoying promised to call Cai Jinjun, the director of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, and ask him to escort me to Nanjing first.

One evening, I was called to join Xie Xiaomei, got into a car, and drove to the outskirts. At this time, Zhu Qi came to testify, saying that I was Luo Ming of the "Luo Ming Route" and could not be faked. At this point, we know that Zhu Qi has indeed defected and become a traitor. After leaving Guanling, Zhu Qi went to Guiyang and Chongqing. He sent the sichuan old man home, went to Shanghai alone, and was arrested by the Kuomintang as soon as he landed. He told him the secrets of the Party and his own tasks, so he was temporarily "free" and put on a bamboo robe.

Zhu Qi persuaded me to tell me about the organization, and I scolded him, and Xie Xiaomei also scolded him as a dog traitor. At this point, the couple saw death as if they were home, ready to be shot, ready to shout slogans. However, unexpectedly, the car escorting us drove to the railway station, and we were escorted to the train, sent to Nanjing to get off the train, and were put in prison. Xie Xiaomei, as a family member, was placed under house arrest in a small house outside. There are no mosquito nets in the prison, there are many mosquitoes, there are many bed bugs, and it can sleep.

After more than 10 days, two armed men escorted me out of prison. Xiaomei saw the enemy holding me with a gun, thought it was going to be shot, and shouted "Aro! ”

But instead of being shot, he was escorted to the parlor. Luo Zhuoying sat there. In addition to the guards, he also brought a secretary named Luo Xunian, who was Luo Husheng's son, a German student.

I met with Luo Zhuoying once in Guangzhou, he was a rightist at that time, as an artillery battalion commander, but I never spoke to him.

Luo Zhuoying first asked me how I was doing, and then said to me: "I want you to go to Jiangxi for a trip, the Communist Party has leveled me, you go to see, the car is ready." ”

I replied, "Don't go, don't go!" ”

This answer was greatly unexpected by them. They think that the person who has been reversed will definitely go. However, they do not understand the essence of the internal line struggle of the Communist Party, let alone the firm and broad mind of the Communists.

The head of the prison told me that he had promised Commander Luo that I must go. I have repeatedly said that I will not go. No way, they sent me back to prison.

I was locked up for more than two months. One day, an agent called me again and asked me what I had thought recently, and I replied that I had no ideas and that you had disposed of them. He saw that the soft one was not good, so he wanted to come hard, took me to see the various torture devices inside, and asked me to talk about the situation within the Communist Party. I took advantage of the enemy's knowledge of my opposition within the Party, saying that I had been left behind on the Long March and that no one had told me anything.

After that, he didn't interrogate me, and always shut up.

One day, the Nanjing office of the Eighteenth Group Army of the Kuomintang sent someone, and according to the people in the prison, Luo Zhuoying sent someone to escort me out of prison for medical treatment. Xiaomei and I got into the car, went to the Nanjing office, and were locked up in a house, guarded by people, unable to go, unable to meet with outsiders, and not talking much. Later, Luo Zhuoying was transferred to Lishui, Zhejiang Province, and sent someone to send me to Lishui, asking me if I had any relatives to place Xie Xiaomei. I thought of my cousin Luo Hang arc, and I wrote to ask him to come and pick up Xiaomei.

The next day, the people from Lishui made sure that I put on the Uniform of the Kuomintang, pretend to be a low-ranking officer, and be "accompanied" by two men (both with bayoneted spears) from Nanjing to Shanghai Station. Luo Hang arc was already waiting there, so I gave Xiaomei to him. Immediately afterwards, I was escorted to Zhejiang, via Shaoxing to Lishui, without a train, and two guards drove a car to pick me up. At lunch, one of the guards left, and told the other that if anyone asked, he would say that he was a prisoner, and if he wanted to escape, he would stab him with a bayonet.

After dinner, I took a car to the Yeosu Military Headquarters and was locked in a room guarded by two guards at the door. Meals were delivered, went to the toilet, and some people watched. I don't know the bottom of this situation. On the third day, I deliberately found a Fellow Villager named Uncle Ah Fu in Tai Po, and I said to him, "Since you have guaranteed me to come out for medical treatment (there are medicine deliveries), why do you still have to monitor and ask to talk to Luo Zhuoying once." And he passed on the word.

After Luo Zhuoying agreed, he asked me to meet in the reception room. I said to him, "Since you have guaranteed me to come out and heal me, why do you still send guards to monitor me? ”

Luo Zhuoying said: "There are people in all aspects of the Eighteenth Army, your surname is Luo and I are surnamed Luo, otherwise it is not okay, it cannot be said that it is medical parole to the outside world, and it is also possible to withdraw the guards, but it is absolutely impossible to leave the military headquarters." ”

Later, the guards were removed, and some fellow villagers came to sit and found some books to show me. Once, Luo Zhuoying took a book written by a Soviet military scientist and said to me, "You can read this book and write notes while reading it." I read the book, but the notes I didn't write.

Soon, Luo Zhuoying asked Luo Boping to come to me. He was a classmate of my classmates when I was in Jimei, Xiamen, and when I was running a peasant movement training center in Shantou, I used to ask him to work in the Academic Affairs Office and teach premature exercises. During the Northern Expedition, he worked under He Yingqin, and later went to Shanghai to work in the Social Bureau. Robin asked me to talk in a pavilion. He said that Luo Zhuoying had told him to come to me. He said that the Communist Party was capable, but now it had failed (at that time the Red Army's Long March was not over), and there were people in the Kuomintang who were like the Communist Party. I reckon it was some organization of the Roboping Social Bureau, and I wouldn't have been fooled. I took advantage of my situation at that time and said that I had originally studied as a teacher and taught, and only joined the Communist Party until later, but when I arrived in Jiangxi, I was ruthlessly attacked, I did not want to participate in political activities anymore, and I was willing to teach.

After this conversation, he left, and I remained under house arrest there.
