On November 10, the passenger throughput of Changchun Airport exceeded 10 million passengers, making it the 27th trunk airport in China to exceed 10 million passengers in 2021, an increase of 3 places over the ranking in 2019. Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic in 2020, Changchun Airport has returned to the ranks of tens of millions of airports in China after a year. As of the end of October, the cumulative recovery rate of flight volume and passenger volume of Changchun Airport ranked 3rd and 4th in the domestic tens of millions of airports respectively, ranking first among the four major airports in Northeast China.

In the summer and winter seasons of 2021, the weekly planned flight volume growth rate of Changchun Airport will continue to rank among the top in the northeast region. This year's winter season, Changchun Airport added new waypoints such as Qionghai, Xinzhou, Liuzhou and Wuhu, restored chifeng, Baotou, Xiangyang, Xishuangbanna and Zhanjiang, and encrypted flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities. After the change of season, Changchun Airport has 24 flights to Shanghai, 14 flights to Beijing, 12 flights to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, 10 flights to Chengdu, 9 flights each to Nanjing, Qingdao and Sanya, and 8 flights each to Hangzhou and Jinan, with a total of 30 airlines operating 140 routes and 70 domestic and foreign cities. In addition, under the attention and support of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government and the care and guidance of the Northeast Regional Administration of Civil Aviation, the airport's peak hour capacity has been increased to 30 flights per hour, which has reserved airspace and time resources for the future development of Changchun Airport.

This year's winter season, Changchun Airport passenger planned to stop 47 aircraft, an increase of 7 aircraft year-on-year and 5 aircraft month-on-month. Among the strategic cooperation airlines, China Eastern Airlines (including Shanghai Airlines) has 9 aircraft, 7 Changlong Airlines, 5 Qingdao Airlines and 3 international airlines. Among them, the weekly planned flight volume of China Eastern Airlines, Changlong Airlines and Qingdao Airlines has increased by more than 20% year-on-year, and it has initially met the conditions of "basing itself on Changchun and radiating northeast China" aviation regional distribution center. This not only lays a solid foundation for Changchun Airport to achieve the goal of setting up a second and third base airline, but also takes a step forward for Changchun Airport to achieve a benign development pattern with sufficient capacity allocation, full utilization of resources at all times, reasonable aircraft structure and balanced market share, and the results of strategic cooperation are further highlighted.
