Carrie Lam said that the athletes visiting Hong Kong came from 12 Olympic events, including China's 100-meter flyer Su Bingtian and table tennis player Ma Long.
She said that since her return, mainland gold medal athletes have visited Hong Kong after each Olympic Games. The country has achieved good results in the East Olympic Games, Hong Kong has achieved the best results in history, and the visit of mainland athletes to Hong Kong will make everyone excited.
The HKSAR Government is seeking to arrange for athletes to hold a number of public activities during their visit to Hong Kong, including sports demonstrations and comprehensive performances, the details of which will be announced as soon as possible.
Carrie Lam pointed out that due to the epidemic situation, unlike the previous arrangements, there may not be too many opportunities for the public to get close to the athletes visiting Hong Kong.
