Born in Kyoto City, Wada was responsible for stage costumes while studying at Kyoto Municipal University of Fine Arts (now Kyoto Municipal University of the Arts), and later embarked on the path of designer. In the film "Chaos", she added unique elements to the design of the costume, making the costume from the cloth woven from dyed silk, which won the 1986 Oscar.
