Recently, European countries have constantly provoked China on the Taiwan issue, interfered in China's internal affairs, and tested China's bottom line. China has forcefully refuted these unreasonable moves and remarks. After Lithuania, France, and the Netherlands, the small country of Ireland has also made small moves on the Taiwan issue.
According to the Global Times, the Taiwan-related resolution to interfere in China's internal affairs was voted on December 1 in the Irish Senate. The Irish government says It does not want to see Chinese mainland forcibly recover Taiwan militarily. Many of the contents of the resolution passed by the Irish Senate are related to Taiwan and are typical of naked interference in China's internal affairs. The resolution includes calling on Ireland to firmly support Taiwan's so-called political freedoms for a long time, to increase the cultural economy of the people between Ireland itself and the Taiwan authorities, to criticize all practices that obstruct the Participation of the Taiwan Authorities in international organizations, and to isolate the Taiwan Authorities from participating in international humanitarian initiatives. The resolution even calls on the Irish government to learn from the so-called interaction with the Taiwan authorities and the people, as other EU countries have done, that is, to allow it to set up a "representative office" of the Taiwan authorities in Ireland.
McDowell, who was former deputy prime minister of the Irish government, and 17 other parliamentarians jointly signed the resolution related to the interactive exchange, which in addition to Taiwan, also incidentally attacked the situation of Chinese rights. Earlier, Yang Zibao, a representative of the Taiwan authorities in Ireland, said in an interview with Irish media in early November that the Taiwan authorities hoped that the Irish government would reopen its office in Taiwan to promote exchanges between the Taiwan authorities and Ireland.
The Chinese Embassy in Ireland responded on social media on December 3 that China's internal affairs brook no interference and that Chinese people have the greatest say in their own human rights. At the same time, it urges a small number of Irish politicians to respect each other's national sovereignty and territorial integrity of China and Ireland, and asks them to respect China's national reunification as they respect Ireland's realization of national reunification.
According to Taiwan media reports, on November 29, local time, the French National Assembly voted to pass a Taiwan-related resolution. The resolution trumpets the so-called Taiwan's anti-epidemic model and asks the French government to support the Participation of the Taiwan authorities in various international organizations and forums, including the World Health Assembly, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the United Nations Climate Change Framework, conventions and Interpol. At the same time, the resolution here repeats universal values such as human rights and democracy.
In the process of voting, the two sides of the French debate repeatedly loudly struck back at each other's views, and the voting site was once in a stalemate. The presidential candidate of France's left-wing Party , the indomitable French " party , jean-Luc Mélangon , the current member of the French National Assembly , voted against the resolution. In the vote, Mélang-hsiung said that he believes that Taiwan belongs to China, Taiwan is not qualified to participate in international organizations, and France's position on Taiwan should be the "one-China" policy adhered to by successive French governments, "The United States vainly wants to lead the world to a full-scale Cold War with China through the Taiwan issue, and France does not need to participate in this unnecessary matter."
The Second House of the Dutch Parliament also filed motions on taiwan's status, Taiwan's participation in international organizations, and Lithuania's development of relations with Taiwan. Last month, in defiance of repeated warnings from the Chinese government, Lithuania insisted on allowing the Taiwan authorities to set up so-called "representative offices" in Lithuania. For this reason, the Chinese government recalled the Chinese ambassador to Lithuania and downgraded diplomatic relations between the two countries to the chargé d'affaires level.
At the instigation of the United States, these European countries have successively made small moves on the Taiwan issue to provoke China's bottom line. After China struck hard at Lithuania, the most provocative, the Netherlands and Ireland still stood up and provoked. Our response has not been strong enough, and Lithuania has so far not committed any act of repentance. China wants to make Lithuania, which has the most provocative on the Taiwan issue, feel pain, and only by killing one hundred people in this way will the rest of the European countries not have such provocative acts.
