Fiddling with the abacus, flipping through the account books, trying to "send out newspapers"... People experienced the work of martyr Li Bai in the "good friend candy store" where the "old shop was newly opened". The red space next to the former residence of martyr Li Bai on Huangdu Road in Hongkou District recreates the appearance of the street candy shop in the 1940s and was officially opened today as a former residence audience consultation service center.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Hongkou District Cultural and Tourism Bureau, by creating important historical scenes and increasing the interactive links of the scenes, this composite space has further improved the service function of the former residence, becoming an important part of Hongkou District's creation of a "global great ideological and political class", and also adding another red point of immersive learning party history to Shanghai, better telling red stories and continuing the red blood.
Martyr Li Bai is the prototype of Li Xia, the protagonist of the movie "The Eternal Radio Wave", who has long fought on the hidden front of the Chinese Communist Party. He used radio waves to build an "air bridge" between Shanghai and Yan'an, making a significant contribution to the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation. In August 1942, Li Bai was arrested in Shanghai, rescued by the party, and released in May of the following year. Because he was still under the surveillance of secret agents after his release from prison, he did not go to the party organization, and his life gradually became difficult. After learning of the situation, several friends funded the opening of a "Liangyou Candy Store" on Muerming Road (now Maoming North Road). In order to hide their eyes and ears, they first published an advertisement for recruiting shop assistants in the newspaper, and then invited Li Bai and his wife to apply. After that, the couple successfully entered the "Good Friend Candy Shop" as a clerk. In the store, Li Bai not only served as a salesman and was responsible for purchasing goods, but also did other miscellaneous work, busy for more than ten hours a day. While working in the candy store, Li Bai finally got in touch with the party organization and returned to the hidden front again.
According to reports, the "Liangyou Candy Shop" was originally an idle space in the alley, and it was transformed simultaneously during the renovation of the former residence of martyr Li Bai in the first half of this year. The interior of the current "Liangyou Candy Store" is divided into two spaces, one part of which is the reproduction of the original scene of the store, showing small commodities and posters from nearly 100 years ago; the other part is the display space of red cultural and creative products, including the special exhibits of the former residence such as the tour headphones and newspaper distribution devices launched by the former residence of the martyr Li Bai, as well as the peripheral products developed by the red venues such as the First Memorial Hall of the Communist Party of China, the Memorial Hall of the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the Four Memorial Halls of the Communist Party of China. History and reality blend here, gray and red intertwine here, people here "one second through", in the punch card photo and cultural and creative experience, better immersed in the study of party history.
In the former residence of the martyr Li Bai not far from the "Good Friend Candy Shop", there is an exhibition area on the second floor dedicated to telling this past. It is worth mentioning that before the reopening of the former residence in May this year, the descendants of the clerks who worked with Li Bai in the "Liangyou Candy Store" specially donated a thermos bucket that Li Bai used in the store. This new exhibit is exhibited in a "group" with a copy of the original candy store lease contract and the store staircase made by Li Bai himself that year, telling the story of red together.
Next, during the opening hours of the former residence, the "Liangyou Candy Store" will be rotated by party member volunteers from the Huangdu Residential Area of North Sichuan Road Street to provide venue reservations, activity consultation and other services for citizens and tourists. Up to now, nearly 40 resident party members have been mobilized to participate.
At present, Hongkou District is building a "global great political science class", forming ten learning experience routes, launching 100 "big political science class" scenes, cultivating 100 Hongkou political preachers, opening a thousand political science classes, etc., and actively creating a new era of education and ideological highland.
