At about 18:40 on December 8, there was a power outage in The road areas of Zhoujiazui Road, Dalian Road and Feihong Road in Shanghai, mainly involving residents of Hongkou and Yangpu districts. As of 6:23 on the 9th, the residential areas that failed to lose power have been restored to power supply. As for the cause of the power outage, the State Grid Shanghai Municipal Power Supply Company issued a note through the official Weibo that it was caused by a sudden tripping fault of a semi-underground substation on Tongbei Road, and it was not a power rationing.
The power department said that after preliminary investigation, the cause of the power outage was caused by the bursting of the substation water pipe, not the power curtailment. At present, Shanghai's power supply is sufficient and the power grid is running smoothly, which can ensure that the city's production and living electricity needs can be met.
In fact, after the power outage occurred on the 8th, the power department launched a rush repair, and at about 22:00 that night, the power failure had recovered nearly 70%, and the rest was supported by power generation vehicles in the power outage area. After overnight emergency repairs, all power supply was restored in the early morning of the 9th.
