Chinese and foreign cultures have also penetrated and integrated in two-way exchanges and interactions, and the competition has become a beautiful cultural business card of Shenzhen facing the world.

The competition lasted for more than 5 months, and received positive responses from many foreign friends and calligraphy enthusiasts at home and abroad, although deeply affected by the epidemic, 392 calligraphy works were still received, and the participants came from 31 countries and regions. Foreign friends who participated in the competition said that Chinese calligraphy culture has both connotation and formal beauty, and for these foreigners, there is a sense of ancient mystery. Chinese and foreign cultures collide and blend

The essence of the country goes to the world

The "Oriental Cup" Foreign Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition has won high praise from all walks of life for its cultural influence, high execution and wide dissemination.

Looking back on the past five years of the "Oriental Cup" Foreign Chinese Calligraphy Competition, Zhong Fanfei, the founder and chairman of the Shenzhen Oriental Art Museum, the organizer of the competition, said that the reason why this brand can develop into a unique brand in Shenzhen's cultural circles is inseparable from the support of the government and all sectors of society. She believes that Chinese character calligraphy, as the intangible cultural heritage of mankind, can not only carry a heavy history, but also express the vigorous spirit of the times, with a wide range of affinity and appeal, which not only fascinates the Chinese people, but also fascinates foreigners. The process of learning and practicing Chinese calligraphy by foreign friends is itself a process of collision between their own national culture and Chinese cultural exchanges, and such collisions and exchanges deepen the understanding and tolerance between cultures and are conducive to exchanges and cooperation between countries.

Tao Yitao, former deputy secretary of the party committee of Shenzhen University, believes that when foreign friends learn Chinese characters, they will also understand the connotation of traditional Chinese culture, which is the simplest, most basic and most interesting way to connect Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges. The "Oriental Cup" Foreign Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition is a beautiful bridge that will provide China with its own strength to go global.

Liang Yu, secretary of the party group and chairman of the Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, believes that the competition does a good job of spreading the unique form and charm of Chinese characters to foreigners, so that they can deeply understand and deeply understand Chinese culture, which is the significance of running the competition. He said that Shenzhen is a young city, and after 40 years of hard work and continuous struggle in the special economic zone, Shenzhen's cultural development will usher in a new blueprint for development. The "Oriental Cup" Foreign Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition will ride on the east wind of cultural development and help Chinese traditional culture enter the contemporary era and go to the world.
