Yang Yinyu, born in 1884 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, is the sixth child in the family, and her brother Yang Yinhang is the father of the famous writer Yang Dai. However, although Yang Yinyu's parents are very cultured, their thinking is very conservative, and for their children, they not only cannot treat them equally, but even use "beauty and ugliness" as the basis for judging personal preferences. According to Yang Chen's recollection, Yang Yinyu is a big girl with dark skin, ordinary looks, and a slightly fat figure, she does not like to dress up, and the two ears and eyes that were originally tied have long been closed for a long time.
Because of her looks, Yang Yinyu was "discriminated against" by her mother, from childhood to adulthood, she has not been given the favor she deserves, no one cares whether she is full and warm, no one cares about her joys and sorrows.
