According to a topic discussed today by R-Star Yorkshire development members, Rockstar Leeds founder Gordon Hall has died at the age of 51, the cause of death has not yet been announced.
Hall founded Möbius Entertainment in the UK in 1997, a company that develops handheld games that includes a premium version of Game Boy's Max Payne. In 2004, Take Two acquired the company and renamed it Rockstar Leeds. R Star founder Sam Houser said the company's performance in the creation of Max Payne was so good that it allowed them to join.
Hall, president of Rockstar Leeds Studios and an expert in handheld games, worked with R Star on GTA: The Story of Liberty City and GTA: Chinatown Wars, and ported R Star's other games. Hall also co-developed Los Angeles Black, Red Dead Redemption, and R Star Ping Pong. In 2011, Hall resigned from R Star and later joined Activision Blizzard Mobile as Chief Creative.
