Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci are twins, formerly known as Zhang Xiaoyan and Zhang Xiaoci, with their mother Zhang Yaruo and their father being Chiang Ching-kuo, the grandson of Chiang Kai-shek. However, until March 2, 2005, the Chiang family did not recognize Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci as descendants of the Chiang family, and the brothers had always followed their mother's surname: Zhang.
Gannan gave birth to a son, and the Jiang family did not admit it:
In 1925, the Chinese Revolution was in full swing, and as an advanced youth, Chiang Ching-kuo went to the Soviet Union to study and joined the Chinese Communist Youth League. Later, Chiang Kai-shek betrayed the revolution, and Chiang Ching-kuo remained in the Soviet Union and could not return to China until 1937, when the Kuomintang and the Communist Party began peace talks and carried out the second cooperation, Chiang Ching-kuo was able to return to China.
In 1938, Chiang Ching-kuo was sent by Chiang Kai-shek to Jiangxi as a commissioner of the Ganzhou Administration, managing Ganzhou for 11 months to increase Chiang Ching-kuo's grassroots political experience, during which Chiang Ching-kuo implemented his "Gannan New Deal", although the New Deal did not work, but gained a love.
Chiang Ching-kuo met Zhang Yaruo and gave birth to twins for Chiang Ching-kuo in 1942, named after the "filial piety" of the Chiang family, namely Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci. However, zhang Yaruo died suddenly for some reason (some people suspected that it was Dai Kasa's hand), which made Zhang Yaruo's brother, that is, the uncle of the brothers, very scared, so he changed his surname to Zhang.
During the Liberation War, the Chiang dynasty collapsed and retreated to Taiwan, and Chiang Ching-kuo also arranged for the two brothers to come to Taiwan. However, from childhood, the two only knew that their father and mother were "Zhang Haoruo and Ji Chen", until their grandmother told them that their father was Chiang Ching-kuo, and their mother was Zhang Yaruo, who had passed away, and Zhang Ruohao was actually their uncle. I hope that in the future, they will be able to recognize their ancestors and return to the sect and get the recognition of the Jiang family.
But for 50 years, the Jiang family has not recognized it.
Until 2005, Jiang Xiaoci had been dead for 10 years, and Chiang Ching-kuo had been dead for 17 years.
Confession of Ancestors:
The son's recognition of his ancestors and the recognition of the Jiang family has always been Zhang Yaruo's wish. After all, no mother wants her son to know who his biological father is.
In high school, my grandmother told the brothers about their own lives and told them their mother's wishes, which became the wishes of the brothers.
The famous host Bai Yansong once interviewed Jiang Xiaoyan and asked him how the process was.
Jiang Xiaoyan said that although this is an open secret, it is still very complicated.
Jiang Xiaoyan's household registration registered his father and mother "Zhang Haoruo, Ji Chen", it is easy to prove that "Ji Chen" is not his mother, as long as he makes a DNA, so when Jiang Xiaoyan went to the United States in 2003, he met Ji Chen, pulled out a few hairs, and finally after testing, Jiang Xiaoyan and Ji Chen had no blood relationship, excluding the mother-child relationship. The original hospital birth certificate showed that the birth mother was Zhang Yaruo.
But it is more difficult for my father to prove, after all, Chiang Ching-kuo has passed away.
So Jiang Xiaoyan found Jiang Chingguo's former friend Wang Sheng.
Jiang Xiaoyan said that Chiang Ching-kuo had entrusted Wang Sheng and Song Shixuan to secretly take care of his brothers, and that Chiang Ching-kuo was also the driving force behind the brothers' growth; during Chiang Ching-kuo's lifetime, Jiang Xiaoyan served as director of the so-called "Ministry of Foreign Affairs" North American Department, standing secretary, and younger brother Jiang Xiaoci as a member of the Kuomintang Central Committee.
Wang Sheng wrote a piece of material to confirm that after xiaoyan and xiaoci were born, they had entrusted themselves to take care of the two many times and handed over the maintenance fee.
Multiple pieces of evidence made the Jiang family have to admit, is it actually necessary to be so troublesome? Wouldn't it be clear to find other descendants of Chiang Ching-kuo to make a DNA comparison?
In any case, Zhang Xiaoyan completed the identity authentication, recognized the ancestors and returned to the sect, and became the righteous "Jiang Xiaoyan".
Diary exposure, subvert cognition:
However, in 2019, Stanford University in the United States published the "Diary of Chiang Ching-kuo" stored in the Hoover Archives, and one of the contents caused heated discussion in all walks of life, and once again pushed Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci to the hot list.
On October 30, 1954, Chiang Ching-kuo wrote that he dreamed of his good friend Wang Jichun, who was working with him in Jiangxi as his assistant, "When he was born, he met a woman surnamed Zhang, and when he was born in Guilin, Yu Zeng worked as a guarantor in the hospital, and later someone misrepresented that this twin was born by me."
The "daughter surnamed Zhang" is Zhang Yaruo, Chiang Ching-kuo served as Chiang Ching-kuo's secretary during his tenure in Jiangxi, and later had a long-term relationship, and the "twin" is Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci, two twin brothers.
What do you mean?
That is to say, his assistant Wang Jichun and Zhang Yaruo had children out of wedlock, and when they gave birth, they worked as guarantors in the hospital, but they were mistaken by their own others as the fathers of these two brothers.
Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci were born to Chiang Ching-kuo and are an open secret in Taiwan. In 1977, after the news that Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci were the sons of Chiang Ching-kuo was made public, it caused a sensation, but Chiang Ching-kuo was still alive at this time and did not react to this. It can be understood that Chiang Ching-kuo acquiesced to this.
Why didn't Chiang Ching-kuo's diary be acknowledged?
It is an open secret that Jiang Xiaoyan and Jiang Xiaoci are the flesh and bones of Chiang Ching-kuo, but Chiang Ching-kuo has not admitted it for decades during his lifetime, and in his diary he even said that he was the son of his "deceased friend Wang Jichun". Taiwanese historian Wang Feng and others believe that Chiang Ching-kuo is lying, not only because they think so, but also by explicitly stating that Chiang Hsiao-yan is Chiang Ching-kuo's son in an analysis of Taiwanese figures by the CIA.
So why did Chiang Ching-kuo write such unsatisfactory words in his diary? This must be analyzed in the light of the political situation at that time.
1. Before retiring to Taiwan, the environment is special:
As early as 1935, when he was still in the Soviet Union, Chiang Ching-kuo married Jiang Fangliang (the Soviet name Fei Na) and gave birth to his eldest son, Jiang Xiaowen.
Looking at Chiang Kai-shek again, in December 1927, Chiang Kai-shek was baptized in Christianity and married Soong Mei Ling. If you believe in Christ, you can only be monogamous, you can no longer have three wives and four concubines like in ancient China, and "monogamy" is also a provision of the Marriage Law of the Republic of China. If Chiang Ching-kuo opened his relationship with Zhang Yaruo and recognized his son, he would inevitably be opposed by Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling, and would be scolded by people in society.
When was 1942? China's War of Resistance was at its most difficult, and this would make Chiang Kai-shek and himself very passive, so they could not admit it.
2. Acknowledgment will affect career:
Chiang Kai-shek was bent on cultivating Chiang Ching-kuo to inherit Taiwan, but it was not what Chiang Kai-shek wanted, and there were still many hills within the Kuomintang at that time.
When he was on the mainland, he admitted that he would face opposition from inside and outside the party, gave others an excuse to attack, retreated to Taiwan, and the atmosphere in the environment was even more tense, extramarital affairs, and having children out of wedlock, which was nothing more than a bomb, which would seriously damage Chiang Ching-kuo's status and image and was not conducive to taking over.
Therefore, Jiang Xiaoyong said that even if Song Meiling personally asked Jiang Chingguo, the answer he got was that there was no such thing.
3. Why should I deny it in my diary?
Chiang Ching-kuo's diary was Chiang Kai-shek's request, and like today's primary school students' language homework, a diary is written and then examined by the teacher.
Speaking of diaries, we should mention Zeng Guofan, Zeng Guofan was very fond of keeping diaries, and his descendants compiled and published the "Diary of Zeng Wenzheng Gong's Handwritten Book". Chiang Kai-shek loved Zeng Guofan very much, loved Zeng Guofan's writings, and was influenced by chiang kai-shek's diary for more than 50 years without wavering. He also demanded chiang ching-kuo in this way, and also regularly checked Chiang Ching-kuo's "operations."
How dare Chiang Ching-kuo write the truth in his diary? Can only make up to fool the old father.
In Chiang Ching-kuo's diary, Huiyun can only be used to refer to his lover Zhang Yaruo, taken from the meaning of "the wind and clouds will meet, the wind and clouds are inseparable", and he calls himself Huifeng. In this way, a hint can be found.
As the saying goes, there is no impermeable wall, the paper wrapper can not hold the fire, since it is done will definitely be known by others. Chiang Ching-kuo certainly did not expect that THERE would be DNA later, and even if he died, he could be tested and compared with his descendants.
After the diary was exposed, no one in the Jiang family happened, and perhaps this is the answer.
Decades have passed, and many of the puzzles of that year have become eternal mysteries.
In 2003, Jiang Xiaoyan came to Fenghua Xikou to worship the ancestors of the Jiang clan.
