It was in this shop that he met Five Plums and changed the rest of his life.
There are several versions of the specific details: the first version is that because of the heavy rain and muddy loess, many passers-by had to devote themselves to the carriage and horse shop. But the reception capacity of the carriage shop is very limited, and everyone stands together and waits for food and accommodation to be arranged, which is somewhat boring. As the owner of the carriage shop, Wuduomei stood up at this time: "I'm singing a song for everyone!" Everyone applauded and welcomed, and the five plums began to sing, and the beautiful melody and good sound made people very fascinated. Wang Luobin was deeply attracted, so he worshiped the five plums as his teacher and sang flowers with the five plums.

"Hua'er" is a folk song that is spread among the Han, Hui, Tibetan, Dongxiang, Baoan, Sala, Tu, Yugu and other ethnic groups in the three provinces (regions) of Gansu, Qingdao and Ning in the northwest of China. The people of Ningxia call singing flowers Manhuaer. The second version was based on the first version: because the five plums sang to her, at night, Wang Luobin, who lived in the carriage shop, wanted to sing it himself, but no matter how he sang it, he couldn't make the tune, or couldn't sing the taste of the five plums. The next day, because the rain was still falling, Wang Luobin could not leave, so he simply found five plums and asked her how to sing flowers.
Perhaps, because she is a Hui woman, Wuduomei did not promise Wang Luobin at first, but in the end she was moved by Wang Luobin's sincerity, and the two sang and danced together, oblivious and engaged, beautiful and moving. At the end, Xiao Jun said to Wang Luobin, "Still going to Paris?" Are there any of these in Paris? Or don't go! ”
Liupan down the mountain
Behind these words is Wang Luobin's personal experience: in 1931, Wang Luobin was admitted to the music department of Peking Normal University, and his vocal teacher was a Russian female singer, who often said to Wang Luobin: "If you want to become a musician with achievements, then go to Paris, because there is the most beautiful music in the world!" Wang Luobin was convinced of his teacher's words, but the War of Resistance Against Japan changed the trajectory of his life: after the Lugou Bridge Incident in 1937, he went to Shanxi to join the "Northwest Field Service Regiment" of the Eighth Route Army and threw himself into the anti-Japanese salvation movement. In March 1938, it was transferred to Xi'an. In May, through the introduction of the Eighth Route Army Office in Xi'an, he went to Lanzhou with Seck, Xiao Jun, Zhu Xingnan, Luo Shan and other 5 people to participate in the "Northwest Anti-Japanese War Troupe" in Lanzhou. Encountering Five Plums was on the way from Xi'an to Lanzhou for several of them.
In the yellow land deep in the mountains and ravines, there are always some people who can make themselves bloom like flowers. Because of his encounter with Wuduomei, Wang Luobin made another important decision in his life, that is, to stay in the west to engage in folk songwriting. In this regard, some literary works say that Wang Luobin decided not to leave, and after staying under liupan mountain to study the flowers for a period of time with five plums, he created more than 30 folk songs and songs at an astonishing speed.

The fact is that this is basically a paragraph, Wang Luobin's learning from Wuduomei is very short, that is, two or three days, he quickly arrived in Lanzhou, adapted and created "The Girl of Dabancheng", "Youth Dance", "Rainbow Sister", "Man Li" and other folk songs, in 1939, he adapted and created "In That Distant Place", "Half Moon Climbed Up", "Mayira" and other folk songs in Xining. But this does not mean that the influence of wuduomei on Wang Luobin is limited, on the contrary, she made Wang Luobin deeply fall in love with western folk songs, and paid the second half of her life for western folk songs and became the king of western songs.
After Wang Luobin's death, people held many concerts in order to commemorate him, one of which was called "Forever Wang Luobin", which told the story of Wang Luobin and Wuduomei, which was accompanied by the original voice of Wang Luobin's life: "The song of Grandma Wuduomei, I think it is very beautiful, at that time we were with 5 friends, those 4 people said to me, 'Wang Luobin, what do you learn in foreign countries, you listen to our Chinese folk songs, Chinese songs.' The most beautiful melody, the most beautiful poems, words, lyrics are on our northwest plateau', through the Liupan Mountain through this grandmother's singing, I also realized that the most beautiful song is under our feet. And Wang Luobin often said to the people around him and the reporters who interviewed him that he could not forget the five plums, and it was the five plums that changed the fate of his life. It can be seen that in real life, five plums are real.
As for who the five plums were and what happened to them later, it became a question that no one could say clearly. In the jingyuan area under liupan mountain, people have such a saying: first, because she sang well, people gave her the elegant name of "five plums", and when she met Wang Luobin, she may have been more than 50 years old; second, she may be a local, but because she is only a shopkeeper, no one pays much attention to it, and even her descendants do not know; third, she is a pingliang person in Gansu, and soon after she met Wang Luobin, she went back to her hometown and drove a horse shop, and the later story is gone.

In today's Shangpu Village, Liupanshan Town, Jingyuan County, there is a Wang Luobin Cultural Park with a total construction area of 1210 square meters, which is composed of two parts, the Wang Luobin Memorial Hall and the "Five Blossoms" Inn, which is a comprehensive cultural tourism and sightseeing park integrating tourism and leisure, cultural exchanges and entertainment exhibitions.
