A has been established for 10 years to create local characteristic works
Nanchong Sister Group was founded in 2011, it has been 10 years, as one of the initiators of the Municipal Cultural Center music cadre Yuan Fang, recalled the scene when the team was formed.
"I remember that I was preparing to participate in the 10th China Arts Festival, and I wanted to create a work that could show the local folk culture of Nanchong, but looking at the whole of Nanchong, there was no such professional vocal performance team, so I came up with such an idea, informed the heads of the cultural centers in various counties (cities, districts), unexpectedly, with their strong support, quickly formed a team of 7 people." Yuan Fang said that the team was formed successfully, but what was the content of the performance?
Coincidentally, at this time, Peng'an County was organizing activities related to the marriage customs in northern Sichuan, so Yuan Fang, together with Li Ting, who was also a music cadre of the Municipal Cultural Center, and Yue Ya, a famous composer in Nanchong, went to Peng'an to collect a large number of materials and created a performance and singing work "Marriage in Northern Sichuan". During the rehearsal, they also invited the Provincial Culture Center, Ichikawa Opera Troupe, Municipal Founder and other instructors to guide them on the spot, after more than a year of meticulous craftsmanship, and through the preliminary round, the rematch, the final, and finally the work won the "Stars Award" of the 10th China Arts Festival of the Ministry of Culture in 2013 with its unique characteristics of northern Sichuan and beautiful music. The Nanchong Sisters And Girls Group became a hit and participated in the "National Tour of award-winning works of the ——— Stars Award sponsored by the Ministry of Culture at that time" to show the unique marriage customs of northern Sichuan to the national audience.
Yuan Fang introduced that the Nanchong Sisters Group has been committed to creating regional characteristic works in northern Sichuan. Most of the works are based on folk songs in northern Sichuan, adding highly expressive and personalized local characteristics of harmony, melodies with strong regional characteristics, and Sichuan opera performance elements. In the chorus, with witty and humorous recitations and special props, through the role of actors, limbization and other diversified performance methods, the Sichuan sister's spicy and bright, well-behaved and spirited "spicy hot" personality is vivid and interesting. The works of Nanchong Sisters and Sisters also meet the aesthetic needs of different audiences in the form of musical performances of new folk songs, and have participated in mass cultural activities in various places for many times, which are deeply loved by the audience.
In recent years, the works performed by the Nanchong Sisters Group have won many national and provincial awards. In 2014, the performance and singing work "My Sister and I Arrived" created by the Gaoping District Cultural Center and performed by the Nanchong Sisters Group won the "Gold Award" of the First Farmers' Art Festival and Folk Art Festival of Sichuan Province, and was twice funded by the National Arts Fund; in 2017, the performance and singing work "A Bamboo Pole Brakes Across the River" participated in the Third Folk Song Competition of Sichuan Province and won the Gold Award, and in December 2019, it won the Excellent Work Award of the 15th Sichuan Provincial Spiritual Civilization Construction "Five One Project". In May 2020, it was selected as the 2019 Outstanding Song——— of the Year of the "Hear China Hear You" of the Chinese Contemporary Song Creation Project sponsored by the Chinese Musicians Association...
B loves Nanchong culture "Sister Girl" shines brightly
Recently, the Nanchong Sisters Group has ushered in another good news, the musical work "Chasing Sisters to the Moon" jointly created by the Municipal Cultural Center and the Gaoping District Cultural Center won the 2021 Sichuan Provincial Excellent Mass Literary and Art Works Tuning and "National Stars Award" Selection Activity Outstanding Works, and this honor is also not easy to come by.
In August this year, when she learned the news of this activity, Li Ting, one of the initiators of the Nanchong Sisters Group, organized members to start intensive training. "We invited He Gang, a young singer and deputy research librarian of the Provincial Cultural Center, and Luo Tao, a national first-class director and director of the Stage Art Center of the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Center, to train vocal music and choreograph dance movements for us, and there were great innovations in composition, harmony and rehearsal methods." Li Ting told reporters that although the rehearsal is very hard, the members have never been absent, especially the member Peng Lingli, who has to travel back and forth between Chengdu and Nanchong every rehearsal.
After more than 1 month of intensive training, in the 2021 Sichuan Provincial Outstanding Mass Literary and Artistic Works Performance and "National Stars Award" selection activities, "Chasing Sisters to the Moon" shines brightly, fully demonstrating the folk customs and culture of northern Sichuan, carrying forward the excellent ethnic and folk traditional culture, unanimously recognized by the judges, awarded excellent works, and will have the opportunity to represent Sichuan Province to participate in the competition for the National "Stars Award".
As the youngest member of the team, "post-90s" Zhang Jing is very excited. "Although this is not the first time that we have won an award, the experience of each award shows that our efforts have not been in vain." Zhang Jing told reporters that she graduated from Sichuan Normal University in 2017 majoring in music performance (vocal music), when the Nanchong Sisters Group was rehearsing a new work "A Bamboo Pole Brakes Across the River", which needed a low voice department, and she joined the team through the introduction of Xuejie. She has been a soloist during her time at the school, and joining the team chorus is a new challenge for her. In November 2017, as the only invited team in the province, Nanchong Sisters and Children Group participated in the opening ceremony of the 2017 China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival and the 7th (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Basin Ethnic and Folk Art Festival, and was warmly welcomed by the local people. This experience is still impressive for Zhang Jing, who has just graduated.
Talking about the future development of the Nanchong Sister Group, Li Ting said, "I prefer to regard the Nanchong Sister Group as a symbol, which represents the infinite love and praise of the people of Nanchong for the local folk culture. ”
