As the first offline multimedia special cave special exhibition officially authorized and guided by the Dunhuang Research Institute, "Dunhuang Wonderland - The Mystery of the Legendary Cave 220 Caves" focuses on the mural paintings of the 220th cave of the "special caves" of the Mogao Caves, reflecting the folk paintings of The Tang Dynasty Music and Dance, and is another exploration of the creative transformation and innovative dissemination of the digital achievements of the Dunhuang Research Institute grottoes. The exhibition aims to promote Dunhuang culture and the achievements of digital protection of Dunhuang Grottoes, and attract more young people to get close to the historical treasures of Chinese culture.
At the opening ceremony, Yu Tianxiu, deputy director of the Conservation and Research Department of dunhuang research institute, director of the institute of digitalization of cultural relics, and researcher, said that the Dunhuang research institute has been committed to the exploration and practice of "digital Dunhuang" for many years, using digital technology to completely preserve the artistic information of Dunhuang grottoes, "truly reproducing the charm of Dunhuang art, so that ancient Dunhuang art can walk out of the grottoes, out of Dunhuang, and come to the public's side with scientific and technological power."
