I like to paint in the dark night, brush at night, feel so calm, painting is very smooth, in fact, I prefer not to paint at night, drink tea and smoke, stay in the recliner.
During the day, the city is crowded and noisy and hurried, which will often annoy people, but we are a layman, the realm is not enough, and we can't escape if we don't like it. Only when the sky cleared and the night was resting, did I feel that I could quietly consider things about painting. I also often chant that the closed door is a deep mountain, but often the door is opened again, so I take a jai name "Straw Lu".
The first is to take the harmonic sound of the two words, hoping that he can learn Mr. Goyanagi's poetry for a long time, and his heart is far away; the second is that "Straw Lu" is indeed worthy of the name, because my creative theme is the earth straw series, and once in order to observe the sketching, I also pulled a cart of jade stalks from the island and piled them in the center of the studio. It's just that this trumpet is not made of a plaque and is not inscribed, but is left in the heart to read.
I don't have many paintings, and I have a number of large-scale creations, mainly because it is better to be comfortable than to be upside down. Usually, in order to find a suitable burial reason for idleness, I think that I am thinking, which will greatly dilute the guilt of wasting time, and translate laziness as "the giant of thought, the dwarf of action" and leave such warnings as lazy people outside me.
Whenever there is a plan to participate in an important exhibition and create a large-scale work, this lazy negative effect is highlighted. The routine is: Think..." Think"... "Thinking"... Start writing..."Thinking"... Until I suddenly found that the deadline was approaching, and then began to star and night, and the painting circle was added to the model. I still clearly remember that "Thick Soil" was completed in the last two times of dyeing at the framed painting shop on Feihong Road, and the sound of the chainsaws in the shop is still in the ears.
My paintings look strange, and they look different from the traditional style, in fact, there is nothing new under the sun, just appearances. I also worship the flowers, birds, landscapes and characters that have come over, but there are different extensions under the commonality of different aesthetics. I prefer to manage my own unique pen and ink language and facial style, construct a non-realistic angle that seems to be realistic, fabricate a wide field of vision, and bridge and make up for it to reach an imaginary reality. After contemplating truthfully, it is like looking at the mind, thinking about what can be imagined, being able to do what is possible, and finding a proper way to express self-synaesthesia.
I don't like to mention the brush strokes a lot, maybe I don't express my desire to express it! I always feel that only something or form that hits the mind can enter the pen and have feelings, and it is possible to produce some works with a look. And once I am hit by some kind of field, it will not fade for a long time, and the straw theme is like this, and I have been studying here for more than ten years. I have also heard viewers comment that my works are always a subject matter and technique, lack of change, do not think of making progress, I can understand the feelings of the viewer.
But I don't think I've painted it yet, or I've never painted it, and more importantly, it still impresses me. People will always have their own obsessions, and the reason for this should be the problem of cultural attributes. This attribute should be the brain precipitation of the sum of all the information experienced by the individual and the earth, and the regional culture and era life of the native land is the first information base, which will most likely guide the three views of the individual in the future, perhaps this is the reason why I will glance at the corn stalk for a thousand years at that twilight, the inevitable under chance.
The sunset, the earth, the cold wind blowing the snow, the sunset low mountains, the golden jade stalks and the familiar taste of my hometown instantly evoked the expression of cultural attributes in my body. In the future, with the passage of time, maybe the form of the straw has changed, and then maybe the straw picture has disappeared and been replaced by another carrier, who knows! In any case, fundamentally speaking, no matter what the painter draws, he is just painting himself, the present self or the past self.
If this is the case, let's please ourselves first and then try to please others, as to whether we can please others, let the point of view be left. I don't have the strong ability to go against my heart or to be floating, and I prefer to work deep in the corners of my heart, and only when I am willing to endure more disappointment and confusion can I have a chance to win the joy of Yoshimitsu Kataba.
