Dai Kasa is actually only the deputy director of the military command, so who is this mysterious chief of the bureau?
When we think of military unification, the first thing we think of is its founder, Dai Kasa, Dai Boss, a "most mysterious figure in China" whose whereabouts are mysterious and who come and go without a trace. He single-handedly founded the mysterious organization of military unification, and many people believe that he is the chief of the military unification. In fact, Dai Kasa is actually only the deputy director of the military command, and the chief director of the military command is even more mysterious and little known. So who is this mysterious director, why is he rarely mentioned, and what is his final outcome? Today, let's take a look.
Military command
The full name is the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the Military Commission of the National Government, and the English name is BIS. The predecessor of the military command was the Revival Society established by Chiang Kai-shek in 1931. At the end of 1937, after the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance, in order to strengthen the centralization of power of the Central People's Government and the needs of the War of Resistance, Chiang Kai-shek merged the Revival Society with other institutions and established the "Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the Military Commission of the National Government", which had two departments under its jurisdiction. One is the Central Unification, which is responsible for supervising the Kuomintang's party affairs work; the second is the Military Unification, which is responsible for intelligence work.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the military command expanded rapidly under the leadership of Dai Kasa, reaching more than 50,000 people at its peak, distributed in all aspects of society, in addition to intelligence work and counter-espionage work, the military command became a hoeing team during the War of Resistance. The military command repeatedly assassinated the Japanese puppets Wang Jingwei, Zhang Xiaolin, Li Shiqun, and other personnel, dealing a heavy blow to the Japanese and traitors, and contributing to the state and the people during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the mysterious and iron-blooded organization of the Military Command made the Japanese hate it to the bone. And this mysterious behemoth was established and led by agent Wang Dai, and many of us will take it for granted that Dai Kasa is the chief director of the military command, but in fact he is only a deputy director of the military command.
Although Dai Kasa is the deputy director of the military command, he is the actual head of the military command, and is called "Boss Dai" internally, and the real director of the military command is not real, just a decoration.
Director of the Military Command
The chief of the military command is He Yaozu, a name that is very unfamiliar to us, and even many of us have not heard of it, but he is not an unknown small person, he is also a very remarkable figure. He Yaozu, a native of Ningxiang, Hunan, studied at the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School and served in the Xiang Army after returning to China in 1916. Later, he participated in the Northern Expedition and was promoted continuously, and in 1938 he became the director of the General Office of the National Government. Soon after, the military command was established and he was appointed as the director of the military command, and Dai Kasa was only the deputy director, but the actual controller was still Dai Kasa.
At that time, the reason why Chiang Kai-shek made such arrangements was mainly because he valued Dai Kasa's talent and believed that he was capable of serving as the director of the military command, and he originally wanted to directly appoint Dai Kasa as the director of the bureau, but at that time, Dai Kasa's seniority was still too shallow, and when dai Kasa was appointed as the director of the secret service, he caused great dissatisfaction and turmoil. In order to avoid unnecessary trouble, Chiang Kai-shek chose He Yaozu, who was already a lieutenant general in the army, as the director of the military command, and Dai Kasa as the deputy director, when in fact Dai Kasa was in charge of the work of the military command.
Soon after He Yaozu was appointed director of the military command, he was sent to serve as a special envoy to the Soviet Union. Subsequently, he was transferred to chongqing mayor and chongqing air defense commander. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he chose to resign and joined the anti-civil war and anti-dictatorship patriotic democratic movement. In 1946, Dai Kasa died in a plane crash at the age of 50. In this way, the "Secret Agent King" Dai Kasa ended his life, Dai Kasa was not a good person, but his contribution to the War of Resistance was undeniable.
finale
In 1949, He Yaozu telegraphed in Hong Kong to announce the uprising. When Chiang Kai-shek learned of this, he was so enraged that he immediately sent agents to Hong Kong to assassinate him. But by the time the agent arrived in Hong Kong, he had already been escorted back to the Liberated Areas. In the same year, he arrived in Beijing and was warmly welcomed, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as minister of transportation and other positions. On July 16, 1961, He Yaozu died of illness in Beijing at the age of 73.
