The charm of "novel style" poetry
Reading "Don't Ask Novelists and Poets to Borrow Money" one by one has a feeling
Text/Zhu Jianye
Just as Brother Mao Sheng is both a poet and a novelist, this poem also has both the smooth narrative of the novel and the sharp edge of poetry. Full of narrative allegories and poetic irony of reality through narrative and revelation to the soul, it naturally expresses a different kind of awakening thought from real life.
Two stories, two borrowings, white-painted language, and two depictions of real scenes, construct a variety of life, concisely but profoundly expose human nature, and at the same time show the dignity of poets and poetry. The poet cuts into it from a unique angle, the first time to borrow money is a famous poet who has been absent for a long time, the second time is a so-called large money, both are the first to lay the groundwork, the former talks about poetry, the latter eats a big meal, elegant and vulgar, with only one purpose: to borrow money.
The author's response is also different, the former appears as a novelist, he cleverly borrows money, so that the borrower naturally disappears; the latter appears as a poet, he first agrees to the other party, but "meditates for half a century", replaces him with poetry, and tells him: "a thousand words", and the intellectual response has absurd surreal meanings at the same time, which is unbearable.
The poem ends abruptly and evocatively. Yes, in today's materialistic society, poetry is really worthless, and the real poet is undoubtedly poor. However, poetry is absolutely "a thousand words" in the real life and soul, and the real poet may be poor, but the value of the soul is incomparable.
This kind of poetry that combines the smooth narrative of the novel and the wisdom of poetry I would like to name it "novel style poetry", the author implicitly expresses his attitude towards daily life in the narrative, although the poem also conveys vulnerability and sensitivity, but at the end of the poem, he uses "a thousand words" to pull reality back to the realm of poetic idealism, and finally dissolves the cruel reality through ridicule and irony. This is the artistic charm of "novel-style" poetry.

Don't ask novelists and poets to borrow money
Author 丨 Wu Maosheng
A long-lost literary friend
One day suddenly reappeared
This genius teenager who disappeared in the nineties
Thirty years later, another fan fell from the sky
He vividly describes our storied past
It reminds me of his thunderous name
And the appearance of the gentleman of the year
Talked for half a day
It turns out that the words in the previous basket are all the foreshadowing of the novel
Finally it comes down to the subject:
"Brother Mao, I've been tight on my hands lately, can you lend me 10,000 pieces for emergency?"
I tell you the truth, the novel is not yet finished, only eight thousand
He said, "Then eight thousand."
I said, this is not good, it does not show enough truth
You borrow me two thousand, and I'll lend you ten thousand."
He was very angry: "Why don't you talk about feelings like this?" ”
I laughed and said, you don't borrow two thousand, you still want to borrow me ten thousand, is it possible?
Later, he disappeared like a fan
Another day
A friend driving a Mercedes
Traveled through most of the city
Find me for a drink
Moutai Abalone Lobster Generous Shot
After getting drunk and full
He said: "Brother Sheng, I recently opened a company, the funds are tight, you borrow me hundreds of thousands of turnover can be good?" ”
I was stunned
The boss who does business all over the world
Why am I as short of money as I am?
The good thing is that I am a poet
The reaction was lightning fast
I said, not much, there are still hundreds of millions
Go back and give me your account number
Looking at his elated car
I meditated for half a century
The next day
I wrote a poem with unparalleled talent
