Yuan Shu (Wen Tong)
Four generations of Sikong relied on shilao, but they did not do anything to commit adultery. The name of the delusion cloud is combined with the rumor, and the straight desire should be painted high.
The relationship between Lü Bu and Yuan Shu has always been ambiguous, and it has been peaceful during wartime. In one of the larger battles, Yuan Shu sent tens of thousands of troops to attack Lü Bu, but was defeated by Lü Bu with 3,000 troops, known as the "Battle of Yuan Shu attacking Lü Bu". The impact of this campaign was limited and the popularity was not too high, but the background and specific process at that time were still very interesting. This battle can also be regarded as a victory for Lü Bu. The following Xiaobian will talk about this "Battle of Yuan Shu attacking Lü Bu".
The complex environment of Xuzhou and Yangzhou
Since the death of Xuzhou Mutaoqian, the situation in Xuzhou has become very complex and changeable. First Liu Bei ran from Xiao Pei and took this hot potato; then Lü Bu was forced by Cao Cao to run to Liu Bei. Liu Bei placed Lü Bu in Xiao Pei as his guest general. At this time, Liu Bei's greatest enemy was Yuan Shu in Huainan. Yuan Shu also attacked Guangling with great face, and contacted Xiao Pei's Lü Bu to sneak up on Xia Pi. This plan was successful, and Lü Bu defeated Zhang Fei, captured Xia Pi, and forced Liu Bei to Xiao Pei, nominally taking control of Xuzhou.
"Hero's Record": "Bu Chu entered Xuzhou, books and Yuan Shu." The book of magic... Bude was overjoyed, so he made Pi. ”
At this time, the relationship between Lü Bu and Yuan Shu became very delicate. On the surface, the two are allies, but in fact, Yuan Shu has the intention of expanding northwards, which inevitably threatens Lü Bu. In fact, Yuan Shu also attacked Lü Bu, and there were many open and secret struggles between the two. Yuan Shu secretly conspired with Lü Bu's subordinates Chen Gong and Hao Meng, but was pacified by Gao Shun; Yuan Shu attacked Liu Bei of Xiaopei, intending to take control of the left side of Xuzhou and join forces with Zang Ba in northern Xuzhou to surround Lü Bu, only to be defused by Lü Bu by "shooting at the gate". At this time, the two only maintain a superficial union.
"Heroes": "Bu Qing Sex (Cao Sex), Yan Meng (Hao Meng) was plotted by Yuan Shu. 'Who do the conspirators know?' 'Sexual speech' Chen Gong complicity. ’”
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Wei Shu Lü Bu Biography": "Ji Ling and others were sent to attack and prepare for the rescue of YuBu... He took a thousand infantry and rode two hundred, and rushed to prepare. ”
There are also contradictions within the Lü Bu group. Lü Bu was different from Liu Bei in that he entered Xia Pi through a mutiny. He may have been popular with warriors, such as Tao Qian's old department Cao Bao and Xu Tan, but was not supported by the scholars. For example, Mi Zhu and Chen Deng, who supported Liu Bei's ascension to the throne, followed Liu Bei with an iron heart, scattered their family wealth, and tied themselves to the chariot of Liu Bei's clique; Chen Jue and Chen Deng's father and son did not have the same determination as Mi Zhu, and could not give up their property and prestige in Xuzhou, but they had always been in harmony with the new ruler Lü Bu. It is worth mentioning that on the one hand, Chen Jue's father and son did not sincerely assist Lü Bu, on the other hand, they were even more incompatible with Yuan Shu. Yuan Shu's transfer from Jingzhou to Yangzhou was to defeat Chen Yu, who was from the Lower Pi Chen clan, who had invited Chen Jue to assist him and captured another of Chen Jue's sons, Chen Ying, but was also rejected by Chen Jue. That is to say, Chen Jue and Chen Deng's father and son were unswervingly opposed to the alliance between Yuan Shu and Lü Bu.
"Hero's Record": "The technique retreats to protect the Yin Tomb, and the army attacks Yu, and yu is afraid to go back to Xia Pi." ”
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Wei Shu, Yuan Shu Biography": "Jue Zhongzi should be in Xia Pi at the time, and the technique should be coerced, and the figure will be caused by Jue." ”
There were also two figures under Yuan Shu who played an important role in the "Battle of Yuan Shu against Lü Bu", namely Yang Feng and Han Xian from the Bai Bo Army. The two were once recruited by the fallen Eastern Han court to escort Liu Xie, the son of han tianzi, to move east to Luoyang, of which Han Xian was made a lieutenant of the General's Leading Division and remained in the middle of the dynasty; Yang Feng was made a che riding general, and Tun bing was in Liang County, south of Luoyang. Cao Cao entered Luoyang to impeach Han Xian and Han Xian was afraid of being killed and defected to Yang Feng.
Later, Cao Cao moved the Han capital to Xu County, and Yang Feng and Han Xian originally wanted to intercept it, but did not succeed. Later, Cao Cao attacked Liang County when the two went out to raid, and the two had no way, so they defected to Yuan Shu and became Yuan Shu's power. However, first, Yang Feng and Han Xian were once independent warlords and would not sincerely recognize Yuan Shu; second, the two men also carried their own parts, which although they enhanced Yuan Shu's strength, were also potentially unstable factors. Lü Bu was able to defeat Yuan Shu in large part because of the gap opened from Yang Feng and Han Xian.
The Later Han Dynasty Book of Dong Zhuo's Biography: "Cao Cao took Luoyang as a wasteland and moved Emperor Xingxu. Yang Feng and Han Xian wanted to cover the car, but before they could, Cao Cao attacked them, and Feng and Siam ran to Yuan Shu. ”
The cause of the "Battle of Lü Bu by Yuan Shu"
Yuan Shu has always had the heart of disobedience, in fact, many warlords at the end of the Han Dynasty have the heart of disobedience, and only Yuan Shu has a head and a face, and dares to directly usurp his name. In fact, whether Yuan Shu was called emperor was controversial, but the self-proclaimed "Zhongjia" also showed self-reliant ambitions, and did not need to bite the words too much. No matter how arrogant Yuan Shu is, he should also know that arrogance will make himself fall into injustice and be vulnerable to attacks by others. So he sought a diplomatic solution, sending an emissary named Han Yin to ally with Lü Bu and form a family with Lü Bu to marry Lü Bu's daughter for his son.
If Lü Bu and Yuan Shu formed an alliance, it would be very threatening to the Han Chamber, and it would also be very unfavorable to the Xia Pi Chen clan, after all, there was a vendetta with Lü Bu. So Chen Jue stood up and spoke to Lü Bu to destroy the alliance between the two. Lü Bu originally sent his daughter out, listened to Chen Jue's words, tore up the marriage contract, took his daughter back, and sent Han Yin to Xu Du to show his attitude. Lü Bu's move was of course praised by the imperial court, but it undoubtedly attracted the anger of Yuan Shu.
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Wei Shu Lü Bu Biography": "Pei Xiang Chen Jue fear technique, Bu married, then Xu and Yang Hecong, will be difficult for the country, so they said Bu Yue ... Bu Yi complained that at the beginning of the art, the woman was already tu, chased back the marriage, sent the weapon to Han Yin, and the head of the city. ”
The process of "Yuan Shu's Attack on Lü Bu"
Yuan Shu was punched in the face by Lü Bu as soon as he was arrogant, and it was impossible to bear this breath. He sent his generals Zhang Xun and QiaoRui to lead a large army, as well as the troops of Han Xian and Yang Feng, a total of tens of thousands of troops, divided into seven ways to attack Xia Pi. At that time, Lü Bu only had three thousand troops and four hundred cavalry, and his strength was very weak compared to Yuan Shu. Lü Bu resented Chen Jue for sabotaging his relationship with Yuan Shu and demanded that he propose a solution. Chen Jue replied that Han Xian and Yang Feng and Yuan Shu were two forces, just twisted together. You can use the divisive tactic to win han Xian and Yang Feng back against Zhang Xun and Qiao Rui.
Lü Bu followed Chen Jue's advice and wrote letters to Han Xian and Yang Feng, promising to defeat Zhang Xun and Qiao Rui and give up all the spoils. Han Xian and Yang Fengben had nothing to say about discipline, and they were also with Yuan Shu, and they were also with Lü Bu, so they took Lü Bu's olive branch. Lü Bu led his army to approach Zhang Xun's military camp, and Han Xian and Yang Feng suddenly attacked and caught Zhang Xun off guard. Coupled with the impact of Lü Bu on the front, Yuan Shu's army had no reason to be undefeated.
"Spring and Autumn in Kyushu": "Bu marched, went to the Xun and other battalions for a hundred steps, Siamese and Feng soldiers simultaneously sent, beheaded ten generals, and killed and injured countless people who fell into the water." ”
Lü Bu, Together with Han Xian and Yang Feng, led an army across huaishui, plundered Zhong Li under Yuan Shu's jurisdiction, and then returned to Huaibei to provoke Yuan Shu by writing letters to him. Yuan Shu personally led five thousand troops to Huaishui, opposite Lü Bu's army. However, at this time, Yuan Shu did not have the ability to continue to go north, and Lü Bu did not need to continue to go deeper, and he taunted Yuan Shu again and went back. The "Battle of Yuan Shu against Lü Bu" ended in Lü Bu's complete victory.
brief summary
The process of "Yuan Shu's Attack on Lü Bu" was actually somewhat lackluster, and Lü Bu used the combat strength of his army and the anti-water of Han Xian and Yang Feng to successfully defeat Yuan Shu's tens of thousands of troops, and then went to Huainan to plunder. The influence of this campaign was also very limited, and it can only be said that Lü Bu severely defeated Yuan Shu and hindered his process of moving north, but did not completely eliminate Yuan Shu, and later Lü Bu allied with Yuan Shu and maintained a state of seeming unity and separation. The "Battle of Lü Bu by Yuan Shu" did not have much impact on the situation in Xuzhou and Yangzhou. However, among them, Chen Jue's long-sleeved good dance, Lü Bu's counter-strategy, the long-term fragile alliance relationship between the two forces and their respective unstable factors collided together, resulting in this result, it is still very interesting.
