In 757, An Lushan, who launched the "Anshi Rebellion", was killed by his son An Qingxu. After An Qingxu killed Lao Tzu, he handed over the big and small affairs to his cronies, and as a result, the old guys were not happy, and the most dissatisfied of them was Shi Siming. Shi Siming was a close confidant of An Lushan, and he knew his old boss's son very well, and even his own old man could be killed, let alone other people, so he gradually became disgusted. In order not to be killed by An Qingxu, who was already suspicious of him, Shi Siming led his troops to surrender to the Tang Dynasty.
Shi Siming
After Shi Siming surrendered to the Tang Dynasty, he was made the Prince of Guiyi, and served as the envoy of Fanyang Changshi and Hebei Jiedushi, and ordered him to attack other rebels. However, this nonsense repented, "showing obedience to orders on the outside, and practicing thieves on the inside", constantly recruiting troops and buying horses, which made Tang Suzong suspicious. In May of the first year of the QianYuan Dynasty (758 AD), the Su Sect sent Wu Cheng'en to secretly carry out the work of "rebellion" in Shi Siming's army to take advantage of the opportunity to kill Shi Siming, an unfamiliar white-eyed wolf. At night, Wu Cheng'en disguised himself as a woman and ran to the home of General Shi Siming to persuade them to rebel. Unexpectedly, Shi Siming's men were loyal to him, and as soon as Wu Cheng'en left on the front foot, they ran to the back foot to ventilate the news.
Shi Siming was furious after receiving the report, but because there was no evidence, he could not act immediately, and he was not sure whether it was really as his subordinates said. So he arranged for the two of them to hide under Wu Cheng'en's bed, and at night, Wu Cheng'en talked secretly with his son, saying, "I have ordered to get rid of this rebellious beard!" After the two people under the bed listened, they immediately rushed out to report. Shi Siming immediately led his troops to capture the father and son of Wu Cheng'en who were preparing to run, killed them, and rebelled again.
Anshi Rebellion
Shi Siming, who rebelled again, claimed to be the King of the Great Saint Zhou, and the contradiction with An Qingxu became more prominent, and as a result, the rash An Qingxu was booby-trapped by Shi Siming, and all his subordinates were taken in by Shi Siming. Tang Suzong was deceived by the dog eunuch Yu Chao'en and ordered all armies to blindly attack, resulting in a major defeat, and heyang, Huaizhou and other military strongholds were seized by Shi Siming. Shi Siming took advantage of the victory to attack the key territory of Shaanzhou, but was blocked by the Tang army in the area of Jiang Ziban. The rebels had to retreat to Yongning, and Shi Siming ordered that the Triangle City be built within a month to store grain. His son Shi Chaoyi led the soldiers to work hard, and after the city was built, it was not yet time to mud the outer wall. After Shi Siming inspected the situation, he was furious and summoned Shi Chaoyi, Luo Yue, and other generals to the front to ask for guilt. Shi Chaoyi said: "The soldiers are too tired, and they will immediately go to the mud after resting." Shi Siming scolded, "If you cherish the soldiers, do you dare to disobey my generals?" "He personally ran to the city to monitor the soldiers' mud, and the soldiers were terrified, it was a desperate job, and soon the mud was wiped out. Before Shi Siming left, he scolded on the horse: "When I take Shaanzhou, immediately kill this thief." ”
After Shi Chaoyi heard this, he was terrified and rushed to summon his subordinates to discuss countermeasures, and his subordinates advised him to kill Shi Siming first. Shi Chaoyi did not dare to agree, and his subordinates threatened to surrender to the Tang army, and Shi Chaoyi nodded his head in agreement after thinking about it again and again. That night, General Cao, who was in charge of guarding Shi Siming, called general Cao Chaoyi to explain their plan, and General Cao dared not follow. That night, Luo Yue and the others entered Shi Siming's tent, at this time Shi Siming was going to the toilet, when he heard the movement and fled over the wall, only to be shot in the arm by the pursuing soldier. Shi Siming fell off his horse in pain and was immediately tied up by everyone. The crowd forged Shi Siming's edict, shi Chaoyi succeeded to the throne, and for the sake of the eventual trouble, the crowd would strangle Shi Siming to death with a rope. It is estimated that Shi Siming would never have imagined that he would be killed by his son like his old boss An Lushan.
