Rainbow Six: Siege announced a new announcement today (January 11) with Creative Director Leroy Athanassoff announcing his departure from the team and former Art Director Alexander Karpazis taking over.
Leroy said in the announcement that he resigned as creative director of Rainbow Six: Siege for personal reasons and worked in other job positions at Ubisoft, but he did not disclose further details. Leroy also thanked his successor Alex, who he believed was competent enough to serve as creative director.
It is worth mentioning that Leroy has provided development support for many Ubisoft games in the past 15 years, including Glory, Ghost Recon, Future Warrior, And Red Steel 2, etc.
Alex also made a statement in the announcement. He thanked Leroy for his guidance and hoped he would earn the trust of his players.
Rainbow Six: Siege is celebrating its 7th year of release. If the official team update goes well, we're expected to meet the game's new executives in February of this year, and maybe a new map.
