The so-called "locked power", that is, the manufacturer rewrites the battery management system through the program, re-delineates the voltage range of the battery, limits the upper limit of the battery's charging capacity and power consumption, to put it bluntly, that is, the charging is not satisfied, the battery life is also reduced, and then bluntly, after the "locked electricity", the power in the battery is reduced, and the charging is also slower!
Why do manufacturers "lock the electricity" on vehicles? In fact, the manufacturer to promote the nominal mileage of electric vehicles, is nothing more than to improve the battery energy density and reduce power consumption, improve the battery energy density, is to improve the storage capacity of the unit volume of the battery, the battery energy density increases, the battery charging speed should also be strengthened accordingly, because the charging is too slow, consumers are not satisfied. So the battery energy density increases, charging efficiency increases, the heat inside the battery is very normal, if the battery is hot for a long time, there will be a risk of battery deflagration, spontaneous combustion, once this happens, it will have a negative impact on enterprises and products! Therefore, in order to reduce the possibility of spontaneous combustion and deflagration of the vehicle, manufacturers use the "lock power" method to reduce the power when the power is fully charged, while reducing the charging rate, as far as possible to make the battery less heat!
But this situation, for consumers, is a deception! Because when consumers buy a car, they see the mileage and charging rate in the "full blood" state, but after being "locked", the equivalent mileage and charging efficiency are discounted, then consumers spend some more money, and the manufacturer is fame and fortune!
So in fact, in our opinion, now many electric vehicle manufacturers desperately want to improve the nominal mileage of electric vehicles, which is of little significance in essence, because in the winter, one mileage after another "waist chop", plus some manufacturers in order to prevent spontaneous combustion and deflagration of vehicles, but also to "lock the power" operation of the vehicle battery, so in fact, consumers can really use the mileage is still very small, many mileage is "nominal" mileage.
