When Sun Wukong made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, smashed the peach feast, stole the imperial wine of the elixir, and fled back to Huaguo Mountain, the Jade Emperor was furious and sent 100,000 heavenly soldiers to arrest Sun Wukong.
These 100,000 Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals are not the 100,000 old, weak and disabled soldiers of the Heavenly Court, but many first-class warriors, and the fifth time in the original book reads:

Almost all the warriors in the Heavenly Court who can count the names were sent by the Jade Emperor to capture Sun Wukong, and if anyone was not sent by the Jade Emperor to perform this task, they would be embarrassed to mention it to people, indicating that you were not in the flow.
But what was the outcome of this battle?
One hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers will return home, not to mention capturing Sun Wukong, even his monkey Monkey Sun, not a single one of them.
The fifth time in the original work clearly wrote, "The four heavenly kings collected their troops and went on strike, and all the people repaid their merits: some held the tiger and leopard, some held the lion elephant, some held the wolf worm fox luo, and never caught a monkey spirit."
100,000 Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals could not catch a single monkey, which showed how strong the fighting power of the Huaguoshan monkeys was.

The Huaguoshan monkeys who had fought against 100,000 Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals were actually captured by half of the flesh mortal hunters, and if they did not dare to play tricks, they just dived deep into the cave house and avoided the nest", I am afraid that they will be exterminated by the hunters.
So, why can the Monkeys of Huaguoshan fight against 100,000 Heavenly Soldiers, but they are almost exterminated by the hunters?
Some people believe that during the period of the Great Haunting of the Heavenly Palace, although the monkeys of Huaguoshan escaped the suppression of the Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals, they did not escape the encirclement and suppression of the twelve hundred grass-headed gods.
The Jade Emperor saw that the 100,000 Heavenly Soldiers were not Sun Wukong's opponents, so he led the 1,200 grass-headed gods to surround and suppress Huaguo Mountain. Twelve hundred grass-headed gods adopted fire attack tactics and set fire to Huaguoshan and burned most of the monkeys of Huaguoshan to death.
