Beijing, January 13 (Reporter Ying Ni) Shantang Qingshi, Wu Nong soft language, garden pavilions, alleys and strange fireworks... A poetic Jiangnan symbol is scattered in every corner of the play, interpreting a beautiful story about people, boats and rivers intertwining.
As an important part of the "Meet in Beijing" Olympic Cultural Festival and the 22nd "Meet in Beijing" International Arts Festival - an important part of the Suzhou Culture and Art Exhibition Week, the original dance drama "Yunhe" of Suzhou Song and Dance Theater was staged at the Beijing Tianqiao Art Center on the evening of the 12th.

The dance drama "Yunhe" strives to find inspiration from traditional culture and interpret the purest Suzhou charm in a refreshing way, Jiangnan minor key runs through the whole play; the flexible and natural flowing water light and shadow special effects are embedded in the reflected cascading "Su-style garden" set to create a three-dimensional space of "naked eye 3D"; colorful and gorgeous costume design creates a water town texture... A variety of classical and beautiful Jiangnan water village elements are exquisitely combined in the dance drama, inviting the audience to a fusion feast in which ancient style and scientific and technological sense complement each other, and innovatively interpret the unique artistic conception of Jiangnan culture.
The dance drama "YunHe" took more than a year to create and premiered in March 2021. Subsequently, a national tour was launched, which went through 23 performances in 10 provinces and cities, which can be described as a pioneering journey to spread the culture of the Grand Canal. The play was selected as a support play in the "2021 Jiangsu Provincial Stage Art Creation Support Project", and has appeared in the 3rd Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Expo and the 3rd China Suzhou Jiangnan Culture and Art International Tourism Festival. Invited by the "Meet in Beijing" Olympic Cultural Festival, the play shows the world this great canal that makes Chinese extremely proud on the stage of the International Arts Festival, and presents the cultural charm of Suzhou throughout the ages.
This year's "Meet in Beijing" is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, the State Administration of Radio and Television, the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, and jointly organized by China International Culture Group Co., Ltd. and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. Focusing on the Beijing Winter Olympics, the festival has set up five major sections of performing arts, visual arts, film screenings, urban activities and celebration activities, in the form of "online + offline", to provide audiences with 100 exhibition and performance activities from 22 countries and regions, as well as art forums and performance promotion meetings, presenting the unique cultural charm of Beijing as the world's first "city of double Olympics".
