In 1914, Pi Dingjun was born in Jinzhai, Anhui Province, only 15 years old when he joined the Red Army, not very old but witty and brave, and after the end of the Long March, he had already become the leader of the second regiment of the teaching instructor.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Pi Dingjun became the head of the special task regiment of the 129th Division, and in 1944, his superiors entrusted him with an important task, ordering him to lead his troops into western Henan and establish an anti-Japanese base area.
Creating such a feat was not the main reason for his lack of promotion, but because he created the miracle of the Central Plains breakthrough.
In June 1946, the Nationalist army gathered 220,000 troops to encircle and attack the Central Plains Military Region, at that time our army only had more than 60,000 people, the situation was once very critical, at a critical juncture, the military region decided to lead a brigade led by Pi Dingjun to cover the withdrawal of large troops, at that time Pi Dingjun used the "suspicious soldier" plan to divert the enemy's attention, successfully covered the safe withdrawal of the main force from the encirclement, after the completion of the mission, the Pi brigade was also ready to wait for the opportunity to break through.
At this time, the leather brigade was already deeply surrounded by enemy troops, could it break through successfully? In fact, when Pi Dingjun accepted the task, he was ready to sacrifice at any time.

Pi Dingjun led a lone army to march for 24 consecutive days, across the three provinces of Eyu and Anhui, encountered the enemy many times, fought a total of 23 battles, and finally arrived at the Suwan Liberated Area after overcoming all difficulties, when the original 7,000-strong pi brigade was formed, there were still more than 5,000 people at this time, and the breakthrough in the Central Plains created a military miracle in the history of our army's war.
After making slight corrections, the Pi Brigade was thrown into the battlefield again, and Pi Dingjun successively participated in the battles of Menglianggu, Laiwu, Yudong, and Huaihai; after winning the three major battles, he was promoted to deputy commander of the 24th Army of Sanye, promoted to commander after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and later led the army to participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, General Pi remained in the army and was promoted to commander of the Fuzhou Military Region in the late 1960s, and in July 1976, while directing a military exercise, he was tragically killed in a plane crash at the age of 62.
General Pi Dingjun died and was buried in Babaoshan, so why did he move out of the cemetery 15 years later?
