The last emperor of the Ming Dynasty was Zhu Youjian, the last Han emperor to rule all of China. After he ascended the throne, he vigorously eradicated the castration party, was diligent in government affairs, frugal and simple, and committed six crimes against himself, but the building was helpless, and Zhu Youjian did not save the Daming River.
After Li Zicheng invaded Beijing, Zhu Youjian ordered the harem concubines to commit suicide, and personally cut his daughter and all the harem women he had been fortunate to have, after which he bit his finger and wrote a blood letter to Li Zicheng, hanging himself at the Shouhuang Pavilion on Coal Mountain. After Li Zicheng entered the city, he and Empress Zhou were buried together in the tomb of Tian Guifei.
This Tian Guifei, whose original name was Tian Xiuying, was the only one of Zhu You's concubines who died. Chongzhen entered the palace in the first year, was given the title of concubine, lived in the Chengqian Palace, and later entered the imperial concubine. Princess Tian was elegant and versatile, complete in both literature and martial arts, proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, omnipotent in horseback riding and shooting, and as for decorating gardens, embroidering and cooking, and improving the etiquette in the palace, she also made extraordinary moves. In addition, Tian Xiuying also likes to face the sky and does not like makeup, saving a lot of makeup costs.
Tian Guifei was very favored and bore four sons to the Chongzhen Emperor, namely Zhu Cizhao, the King of Yong mourning, Zhu Cihuan, the King of Mourning, Zhu Cican, the King of Mourning, and the King of Mourning, who did not know the end after the fall of the Ming Dynasty, and the King of Mourning huai and the king of Mourning Liang died early, only Zhu Cihuan left a strong mark in history.
Tian Guifei suffered from the pain of losing her son one after another, and she fell ill and died at the age of 33. Two years later, Li Zicheng attacked Beijing, and rather than being forced to hang herself or beheaded and killed, Tian Guifei should be glad that she was "spared the yuhuan funeral.".
But her son Zhu Cihuan was not so lucky. After the fall of Daming, Zhu Cihuan, in order to avoid the disaster, hid his name, and also cut his hair to become a monk, also taught and educated people, and also cultivated land, in short, for decades.
However, in the forty-seventh year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Zhu Cihuan, who was only 76 years old, was still arrested by the Qing government, and was executed by the Qing Kangxi Emperor on the charge of "although Zhu Mou did not plot rebellion, he did not have the intention of rebellion", and all his descendants were executed. This is the famous "Third Prince of Zhu" case.
The reason why he was discovered by the Qing government that he was a "remnant" of the Ming Dynasty was entirely because of his name. We all know that when Zhu Yuanzhang set a long series of genealogies for future generations and asked the descendants of the Zhu family to take names, the first word was taken according to the generation, and the second word was taken in the order of "wood, fire, earth, gold and water" following the five elements of the symbiosis. For example, Zhu Youjian and his brother Zhu Youxiao, the last word "wood" next to the word, and Zhu Cihuan is next to the word "fire", so he named the child, according to the tradition set by the ancestor Zhu Yuanzhang, with the word "and" next to the word, the last word is next to the earth character.
As a result, The Third Prince of Zhu was detected by people with hearts, and the defendant was sent to the Qing court, and the clan was eventually exterminated.
