Tianji 900 debut TSMC 4nm MediaTek 3nm chip also spent TSMC

MediaTek released the Tianji 9000 processor in November last year, the first TSMC 4nm process, energy efficiency performance is very good, the current test results show that than Samsung OEM's Snapdragon 8 performance is 40-50% higher, the next generation of Tianji is going to go on the 3nm process, or TSMC FOUNDRY.

According to TSMC's planning, the 3nm process will be mass-produced in the second half of this year, but the initial production capacity is likely to be allocated to apple and Intel, two major customers, and other manufacturers will have to queue up, at least next year.

Among these customers, MediaTek 3nm is also determined, MediaTek official also confirmed that there will be 3nm process of film, of course, the official will not be clear which chip will be 3nm process.

According to the past practice, MediaTek's 3nm chip should be the next generation successor of Tianji 9000, the naming is a bit chaotic, Tianji 9000 from the rumored Tianji 2000 mutation, the next generation should be Tianji 10000 processor, released before the end of 2022.

According to the official data of TSMC, TSMC's 3nm is 1.7 times higher in logic density and 11% in performance than the previous generation's 5nm process, and the power consumption can be reduced by 25-30% under the same performance.
