Agricultural microorganisms are an important strategic resource of the country and should be firmly in their own hands.

【Background】

At present, our province has formed a microbial germplasm resource innovation and application system involving 2 national scientific research platforms, 12 provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, more than 20 universities and scientific research institutes, and has more than 20 national and provincial leading talents; Each preservation institution has accumulated more than 10,000 strains of various agricultural microbial strains, and there are more than 200 related enterprises, with an annual output value of about 30 billion yuan. However, there are still problems in the development of the agricultural microbial industry in our province, such as insufficient high-level research and development platforms and low level of industrialization.

【Suggestion】

Yan Weibin, a member of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, suggested that Hunan introduce a plan for the development of the agricultural microbial industry, set up a major special project for the agricultural microbial industry, focus on supporting high-tech research and development with basic, strategic, forward-looking, and major key commonalities, and promote the innovation and industrialization of agricultural microbial technology. Establish the Yuelu Mountain Microbial Seed Industry Innovation Center, establish a microbial breeding technology service platform such as edible mushrooms, biocontrol microorganisms, fertilizer microorganisms, agricultural product processing microorganisms, feed microorganisms and probiotics, and carry out joint research around cutting-edge scientific issues and "card neck" technical problems in the field of agricultural microbial germplasm resources. Establish a microbial resource sharing platform and a public trading platform for microbial resources in Hunan Province, accelerate the transformation of agricultural and food microbial germplasm resources achievements, and concentrate on the development of agricultural microbial industry clusters.
