At the end of March 2021, East Taihu Lake Resort (Taihu New Town) and China Construction Third Bureau held a project signing ceremony. The underground space project of the waterfront core area of Wujiang Taihu New Town and the Project of China State Construction Wujiang Star were signed at the meeting.
Both projects are located in the East Taihu Lake Resort (Taihu New Town), with a total investment of 13 billion yuan, which will help Wujiang build a "world-class lake area" and a "model of water habitat civilization".
Among them, the underground space project in the waterfront core area of Wujiang Taihu New Town is expected to have a total investment of about 8 billion yuan.
The location is west to Taihu Lake, east to Suzhou Bay Avenue, north to Gaoxin Road, south to East Taihu Avenue, and this pre-approval announcement is in line with the future Suzhou Bay CBD underground space will be built by China State Construction.
So, what is the purpose of this underground space?
According to the pre-approval plan, it is mainly used for commercial services, rail transit station services, and underground parking lots, and the underground air is finally no longer exclusive to Wuzhong Taihu New Town.

Line 12 Wujiang station includes Taihu East Station, Chunlan Street Station, Suzhou Bay East Station, interchanged with Line 4 (open for operation) and Line 16 (under planning).
Line 16 Wujiang CBD station is Taihu East Station, and Line 12 and Line 4 are interchanged and interchanged. The arrival of two planned subway lines has allowed the core of Suzhou Bay to finally get rid of the embarrassment of not having a subway.
