Small cost and high controllability are undoubtedly important factors in the emergence of sweet pet dramas, but when people are not only satisfied with simple sweet pets, where should sweet pet dramas start? How to extend the life cycle of sweet pet dramas has become a problem that needs to be considered? The emergence of "Sweet Pet +" seems to have become a new target for everyone to explore. This is also the first time that Liu Siran has broken through the identity of a screenwriter and served as a producer, which is both the controller of the content and the controller of the whole drama, how does she coordinate the relationship between the two?

Q: "You're my sweetest thing" What is your biggest feeling as a producer and screenwriter at the same time?

Liu Siran: Producers and screenwriters are very important roles in the film and television industry chain, and the division of labor is different, and the focus is also different. The screenwriter was my comfort zone, and the producer was my first attempt to step out of it. Both of them allowed me to think outside of my original screenwriting thinking and think more comprehensively. In addition to "how to write a good script", it is also necessary to consider how to implement the script to the implementation level, coordinate and take into account many factors, so that the work that is finally presented to the audience does not live up to the efforts of all the staff, and the pressure and responsibility are greater.

When I was a screenwriter before, I would feel that the screenwriter's right to speak was too small, and the script always needed to be revised with the opinions of many parties. This time as a producer, I participated in the whole process of the project, from the preparation of the pre-script, to the shooting, editing, to the publicity and launch, and I really understood why the script needed so many revisions. The script is the basis of a play, but also the workbenche of the entire crew, the more perfect the script level is polished, it will show an exponential effect when the shooting lands. Similarly, a small bug in the script requires more manpower and material resources to correct and make up for it in the later stage.

This experience as a producer allowed me to see many script creation issues that I did not consider when I was a screenwriter, and it was also a very valuable growth experience for me.

Q: As a producer and screenwriter at the same time, will these two identities have a "fight" on the spot? How would you handle this situation?

Liu Siran: In fact, it will, the screenwriter needs to revise the script for unexpected situations on the spot, and the producer needs to coordinate the entire shooting scene. The studio's screenwriting friends are very good, single-handed in the group, and have completed a lot of title page modifications, which has helped me reduce a large part of the pressure.

Secondly, there will also be "fights" in terms of functions. The screenwriter will argue for his own script, and the producer will need to coordinate the opinions of multiple parties to let the screenwriter change the script. In my case, it is reflected in: I write my own script, and I have to take the initiative to pick faults and modify it... These take a while to get used to.

Q: "You're my sweetest thing" is very eye-catching in the cast, what was the reason for doing this play in the first place?

Liu Siran: The cast is indeed very eye-catching, it can be said that the full face value is online, haha. Seeing that many viewers jokingly called us "finished drama", I am very grateful to the audience for their likes and recognition.

At first, I actually just wanted to do a small sweet drama with a sister-brother love theme, after all, who doesn't want to have a wolf-but-milk brother ~ When the idea was first conceived, many core terriers had already been formed, such as the "April Fool's Day Confession" in the first episode, Lin Ran's setting of sugar allergy, the setting of opening a dessert shop slightly, and so on...

The male protagonist of the sweet pet drama on the market is still dominated by the hegemonic type, but in fact, the aesthetic of women is not limited to this. What can really touch us may not be the domineering president who calls the wind and rain, but the clean and beautiful teenager who has always been around.

The sense of youth in Lin Ran's body is what I want to keep the most. Every girl will grow up, and in her memory, there must be a teenager in a school uniform.

Q: Which actor's personality is closest to the character in the play?

Liu Siran: The actor's appearance is what I imagined the character to look like, but there is a difference between my personality and role. However, everyone's interpretation is highly complete, and the role is full of sense of substitution.

Zhou Yiran's life is actually a relatively quiet cool guy, not an outgoing and straight-forward straight-ball boy like Lin Ran. Cai Cai herself is a more lively, dare to love and dare to hate personality, Tang slightly indecisive personality she is completely absent, haha. Xu Kaixin is very cheerful, very social master will not dominate the indifferent face at all. Xu Yihan belongs to the typical northeast big girl, and she does not raise fish like Li Xiang.

There is also Dong Zhe, who is hated by all the audiences, played by Chang Yiyunyan, I must justify his name, he himself has three views very positive, and he is definitely not a Puxin man hahaha.

If I have to choose, it may be that Ji Han, played by Liao Huijia, is relatively close, after all, Jia Jia is very fond of school flower face for the first time, and Ji Han is as gentle as Ji Han

Q: Was there anything you remembered during the shoot?

Liu Siran: In fact, the whole process of the project has made me vividly remember.

In the preliminary preparation, the screenwriting team stayed up all night, and several post-95 girls took turns to sleep, and could only sleep for two or three hours a day, and finally cooperated with various departments to complete the script revision before starting.

When it came to the shooting stage, everyone was very hard, and many days of announcements were 5:30 in the morning, and the shooting was not finished until 9 or 10 pm. There was a scene playing basketball, and Zhou Yiran was injured during filming. However, at that time, the shooting schedule was very tight, and there was no rest time, so I could only continue shooting after a simple processing. Teacher Xiao Zhou is very dedicated, and the following drama has always insisted, and he is very grateful for his dedication to the drama "Sweet Heart".

The cooperation of every actor and teacher, and the dedication of every staff member, have made great contributions to the play. We all work towards a common goal. The final presentation may not be a perfect score, there are flaws and regrets, but at least we have tried our best.

Q: At the moment, the sweet pet drama is piled up, how does our play stand out? How to break through the sweet pet drama?

Liu Siran: The reason why sweet pet dramas will get together is because the cost is small and the controllability is relatively high, on the other hand, sweet pet dramas have formed a fixed audience. "Sweet Heart" is actually a small sweet drama, there is not so much dog blood and misunderstandings, and it is simply a love in a warm healing.

The audience of sweet pet dramas belongs to the girl circle, in addition to sweet love, it also needs the main creative team to convey positive values to the audience. Tang Weiwei was not discouraged after the failure of Kaober, but walked out of a new life, cured others, and also healed himself. This is also the core of what we want to express, hoping that girls can bravely go through their own lives.

"Sweet Hearts" experiments with sweet pets + light comedy. When the simple sweet pet can not fully grasp the audience, "sweet pet +" has become a new direction, which is also the model that everyone is currently exploring.

Regarding the breakthrough of sweet pet drama, there is actually no fixed methodology, and there is no so-called shortcut. Do the script solidly, do the project down-to-earth, and the audience will pay for the good story.

Q: What's next?

Liu Siran: Regarding your own arrangement, it is to study more and correct deficiencies in the process of writing hard, so that the next step of the work will be liked by more audiences.

If the screenwriting studio arranges it, I will take my girls to continue to write the script steadily. The studio will recruit a new recruit this year, and I hope that more diligent and brainy friends will join us. In terms of works, this year, there is a children's drama that I participated in the creation of is about to start, and there is also a costume fairy drama in the creative stage.

In addition, there are plans for film and television production. Since the establishment of Four Times Joy, I have always wanted to achieve a closed loop from the novel IP to the content of the series, and "You Are My Sweetest Heart" is four times Joy's first attempt as a production company and my debut as a producer. In 2022, I still have two works in the same preparation, both of which are in the mode of sweet pet + light comedy, and I will participate in the whole process as a producer. Next, we will adhere to the screenwriter-oriented, content-based, and hope to create more beautiful works for everyone.

The domineering president-style sweet pet turned out to be born, calling the wind and rain, and the hegemonic posture of the Tianliang King was once shrouded in the sweet pet drama for more than ten years, but with the diversification of female aesthetics, the sweet pet drama has been not limited to the hegemonic style, the silent protection of the green plum bamboo horse, and the clean and beautiful school uniform teenager in the memory has also begun to become the top 1 in everyone's heart.

The essence of the sweet pet drama that people pursue lies in the warm healing in it and the enviable love, but the sweet pet drama should not only be love. Complete story structure framework. The multi-emotion and the output of the core arguments are an important fulcrum for becoming a good drama.

The two identities of screenwriter and producer are constantly changing, and Liu Siran began to jump out of the screenwriter's perspective and re-examine the comprehensiveness of the work. Sweet pets may have become the mainstream culture of the moment, but putting aside the sweet pet coat and encouraging young girls to be brave to be themselves is the real core of this drama. In the interview, Liu Siran said that when the simple sweet pet has been unable to meet the needs of the audience, "sweet pet +" has begun to become the direction of everyone's exploration, and there is no fixed methodology for the breakthrough direction of the sweet pet drama, and the project is done down-to-earth, and the audience will pay for the good story.
