On January 20, the reporter learned from the Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology that the archaeological discovery of the Xiaojiaokou site in Sanmenxia City was 22 housing sites in the Longshan period, which can be divided into two categories according to the house structure: cave type and semi-crypt type, of which 3 are cave buildings. It is worth noting that the cave-style buildings with white ash faces, the semi-crypt-style Lüzi-shaped houses, and the pottery kilns have the cultural style of the tao temple, which is of great significance for the study of the early state formation represented by the tao temple site and the xia cultural process in the central plains.
The excavations revealed only one cave-like building with a residual height of 1.5 meters, a base width of 1.3 meters and a length of 3.9 meters. The existing walls are curved and the floor and walls have been trimmed several times. Semi-crypt houses have "Ya" glyphs, "Lü" glyphs, and "convex" glyphs, and most of them are painted with white ash on the living surface. Among them, the site shape system with a "sub" glyph is more special, the interior of the house is composed of two layers of artificially processed hard surfaces, and there are social stones in the south of the doorway, which echoes the "ya" glyph layout of the site and enhances its sacrificial function.
In addition, the excavation area and the investigation found that the standing stones in front of the house, the standing stones in front of the kiln, the use of human animals for the foundation of the house, and the burial of ash pits have provided new information for discussing the early ritual traditions.
