Fuzhou, January 21 (Ye Yilin) On the afternoon of the 20th, the "Fuman Eight Fujian Lacquer Art Shenghui - 2022 China Contemporary Lacquer Art Invitation Exhibition" hosted by Fujian Minjiang University opened at the Fujian Provincial Art Museum, exhibiting nearly 100 works by 38 contemporary famous lacquer artists and young lacquer artists from all over the country. It is worth mentioning that this lacquer art exhibition takes "Fu" as the theme to achieve the organic integration of lacquer art and "Fu" culture.
This exhibition exhibits paintings, lacquerware, installations, comprehensive materials and other types of works, cleverly using Fuzhou's landmark cultural element "Fudao" to connect the various exhibition halls, and also using the concepts of "opening", "gathering" and "inheritance" to divide the space, implying that the future of Fujian lacquer art is shining.

In the "Opening" chapter, the works of Li Zhiqing, Gao Xiuquan and other landmark figures in the history of the development of Lacquer Art in Mindu are amazing. In the chapter "Convergence", the works of artists such as Chen Jinhua and Shen Kelong show the lacquer art style after the 1980s. In the chapter of "Inheritance", the lacquer art works of the students of Minjiang University have initially formed their own independent creative styles, and have won awards in many important competitions, such as Li Pengju's work "Period", which has previously been rated as the outstanding work of the Seventh Lacquer Painting Exhibition in Fujian Province.

Ye Shiman, secretary of the Party Committee of Minjiang University, said that Minjiang College will continue to make positive contributions to the inheritance and development of Fuzhou lacquer art, and give full play to its own advantages, join hands with all sectors of society to help the dissemination and promotion of "Fu" culture, and display the deep connotation and unique charm of "Fu" culture in multiple dimensions and in an all-round way.
The exhibition will run until February 15, during which a forum on "The Transformation of Chinese Contemporary Lacquer Art Morphology and Talent Training" will also be held. (End)
