In 1931, the front tree of the Bei Gong Building was on the north side of the first tree and the south side of the back tree. Since 1920, Yenching University has successively purchased Gardens such as Lin Shuchun Garden, Jingchun Garden, Chengze Garden, Langrun Garden, etc.; at that time, many of the decorations required by Yenching University were "nearby materials", and Huabiao was hauled from the Yuanmingyuan.
【Bell Pavilion】 Bell Pavilion, there is a bell with a pavilion (dome hexagonal. According to records, this bronze bell originally belonged to the Summer Palace, and after several turns, it was purchased by Yenching University and used as a school bell. On the antique bronze bell, it is cast with: The August system of the Great Qing Dynasty (Manchu and Han chinese two scripts).
【Alumni Bridge】The length of the alumni bridge is 15 meters, the width is 4 meters, and it is a three-hole round stone arch bridge; it is also known as the Ximen Bridge and the Zhuangyuan Bridge. According to legend, the stone used in this bridge was transported from the Yuanmingyuan piece by piece.
This pagoda was built in 1924 with the donation of professor Bo Chenguang of Yenching University.
【Chemistry North and South Building】The building was completed in 1925, formerly known as the Science Building; On these two symmetrical buildings, the ancient architectural style (the roof of the temple, the plain wall, the crimson columns, the grille window, the striped stone base) are adopted. It was originally the teaching office of Yenching University.
【Administration Building】The administrative building was originally named Ashford Building and was completed in 1926. There is a pair of unicorns in front of the main entrance of the administrative building, which was built for the Yuanmingyuan in 1725. After the destruction of the Yuanmingyuan, the pair of Qilin was bought by the Manchu prince Zaitao of the Qing Dynasty and placed in Langrun Garden, and later joined Yenching University with Langrun Garden.
In 1926, Yenching University dredged the water body and drained all the water. Soon, the lake was filled with water again; in the winter, the area was set up as an ice rink. The "ice play" performance used by the former Eight Flags and the introduction of Western-style skating tools have made skating a daily hobby of the people of Beijing.
