The Pace of the Winter Olympics is getting closer and closer, and the athletes are in a state of intense preparation. In Minhang, the students of the Curling Club of Luoyang Middle School also sweated on the ice rink and strived to break through.
Curling is known as "chess" on ice. More than a decade ago, curling was unfamiliar to many people on the mainland. Nowadays, the development speed of continental curling projects is rapid, not only has a certain mass base, but also has achieved many excellent results in the international arena. Behind these achievements, it is inseparable from the persistence and inheritance of generations of curlers. The reporter witnessed such relay and inheritance on the curling rink.
Looking at the students who kept falling and getting up on the ice rink, Jin Eun-hye, a graduate of Luoyang Middle School, remembered the scene when he first went to the ice: "The ice rink is very slippery, and after going to the ice, it is very strange and surprising, at the beginning, like them, the fall was quite tragic." Today, she is a college student and a "non-staff coach" of the curling team.
In 2016, Luoyang Middle School formed a curling club. When the club was first founded, the teacher Zhang Qi happened to be Kim Eun-hye's homeroom teacher and physical education teacher, and the two also became acquainted with curling. After graduation, Kim Eun-hye often comes to the training ground to visit her teachers and coaches, teach new students, and sometimes go to the ice to find the feeling of the past.
Talking about the first curling experience, the teachers and students recalled an interesting thing: "The first time I came to the ice rink was in September, when the temperature was about 30 ° C, because we didn't know much about curling, so everyone wore shorts and short sleeves on the ice one by one, and that time it was really cold enough." ”
From the beginning of 6 people, to today's 60 people, Luoyang Middle School curling team has become stronger and stronger. With the support of many parties and the hard work of teachers and students for many years, Luoyang Middle School has incorporated curling and skating into the social practice activities of the sixth and seventh grades of the school, ensuring that each student has no less than 48 hours of ice and snow time, and the school has also been rated as a national campus ice and snow sports characteristic school.
By participating in curling, students really felt the charm of ice sports and had the opportunity to meet the national team members face to face.
Students of Luoyang Middle School participated in the opening ceremony of the Fifth Volkswagen Ice and Snow Season and took a group photo with Winter Olympic champion Wu Dajing
"Our coach Yang Hongbo is the enlightenment coach of Chinese curling player Han Yu, the last time Han Yu came to see him, many of the little fans and little fans in the team took their own curling brushes and went to their master sisters to sign. Mu Jiayin of our team also added Han Yu's WeChat, and usually asked some professional questions. Zhang Qi said.
Chinese women's curling team fourth base and captain Han Yu
"In curling, the position of the fourth base is very important, and the competition between the two sides between the four bases often determines the outcome of the game. Han Yu and I are both fourth base, and watching her game and communicating with her has benefited me a lot. This time, Sister Han Yu will represent China in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and I will continue to pay attention to it. Mu Jiayin added. After continuous training and improvement, Mu Jiayin and her team won the fifth place in the women's B group of the 2nd National Youth Games Curling and Land Curling All-around Competition in 2019.
On the ice rink, in addition to "veterans" such as Kim Eun-hye and Mu Jiayin, there are also "novices" who have just practiced for about three or four months. "The month when I first started practicing curling was actually more difficult, just the basic skating action, that is, practicing for a long time. At the same time, it is also necessary to carry out high-intensity physical training and practice core strength. Li Yuqing said.
"Basic gliding is the basis of all movements, and students must master the accuracy and accuracy of sliding through long-term practice, and the shot will be more accurate." Zhang Qi said that curling training is more difficult, students are very self-disciplined, carbonated drinks, milk tea, hot pot, etc. are not eaten. Because of love, everyone persevered.
Of course, curling has also brought many changes to students. "After playing curling, I feel that my balance is better, my weight is lighter than before, and I used to be fat." Shen Xuan, a student at Luoyang Middle School, said. "I hope to practice some more skills in the future and achieve better results in the competition." Hu Die'er, a student at Luoyang Middle School, said.
As the last training before the Spring Festival, Zhang Qi gathered everyone together before the end of the training and gave each student a small red envelope, and everyone looked forward to a better future in the new year in laughter. "There are second-tier standard competitions and physical fitness tests in March this year, Shanghai Championships in May and June, and the 17th Shanghai Municipal Games in September and October, so I hope that our students can play a better level in various events." 2022, come on together! ”
