China Unicom 214 license revoked Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: The United States should withdraw its unfair decision

According to CCTV news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has just issued a statement in response to the withdrawal of China Unicom's 214 license by the United States. The statement pointed out that we noted that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) decided on January 27, local time, on the grounds of national security to revoke the 214 license of China Unicom Americas, and the Chinese side firmly opposes this.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out that China Unicom Americas has been operating in the United States for 20 years, and has been complying with US laws, regulations and regulatory requirements, and providing quality services for many users in the United States in accordance with the principle of commercialization. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revoked its 214 license without listing specific violation facts, which is to further generalize national security, abuse national power to unjustifiably suppress Chinese enterprises, seriously damage the US business environment, and damage the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and global consumers, including US users.

The US side should withdraw its unfair decision on our enterprises, stop the erroneous practice of generalizing the concept of national security and politicizing economic issues, and create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in the United States. China will continue to take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
