Entering the door, a small curtain separates the rest room and the studio, and there is only a simple blue cloth and a headlight in the studio, which is "old-fashioned" at a glance.

The owner of this shop is a husband and wife, both surnamed Qi, Taizhou Tiantai people. In 2003, the young couple who learned to take pictures came to Ningbo from their hometown with entrepreneurial dreams, rented the façade next to the main gate of the Mingdong community, and opened a photo studio.

The female shopkeeper recalled that when she first came to Ningbo, it was a good youth, and she is now 39 years old.

"Before coming to Ningbo, I made light bulbs in the factory in my hometown, nine to five every day, and I was tired of living. At that time, I wanted to come to Ningbo to break in. They have been on this street for 18 years, and the neighborhood's name for her has changed from "Xiao Qi" to "Sister Qi".

The small photo studio on the façade is like a treasure box, and as soon as it is opened, countless happy memories pour out, vague but real.

"There was an old couple, an old man in his 90s in a wheelchair, and his wife pushed over. His wife helped him to cover the silver hair around his ears, told him not to be so serious, and did not laugh several times, and had to use his killer skills and shout 'eggplant' like a young man. ”

"The most children come to take ID photos during the summer vacation. Parents will always proudly say that who is in our family who has taken the dance (painting) exam a few levels this time, please help us take a beautiful picture. ”

Warmth does not change

She said she would continue to serve her old neighbors

For more than a decade, the couple opened their doors at 8 a.m. every morning and closed at 9 p.m. All year round, only the New Year holiday, the first day of the first month of the first month rest to fifteen.

Busy taking pictures of others, his own family rarely has family portraits. In the summer of 2015, Sister Qi, her husband and two daughters went to her cousin's photo studio to take a family portrait. This was the first time she had formally put on a dress and put on light makeup.

"It was the only family portrait in our family, and it was very precious."

Times are developing rapidly, the technology and equipment of photography are constantly changing, and the old photo studio is facing increasingly serious challenges.

The earliest there will be old customers to find them to take art photos, and now the old-fashioned photo studio has no commercial competitiveness in wedding dress, photo and other photography, and Sister Qi only wants to make the ID photo fine and excellent.

Aunt Huang, who lives nearby, is 65 years old and needs a photo of her ID when she retires, so she took it here, and now her granddaughter's ID photo is also taken here.

"There is no special reason, one is that she has good skills, and the other is that the old photo studio always makes me feel warm."

Mr. Xie happened to come to get the photo, he has lived in this neighborhood for more than ten years, and every time he needs a photo, he will go straight here. "It's popular to photograph hippocampus now, but I think it's still comfortable and convenient to take pictures here, and maybe there's an emotional continuation."

"Nowadays, electronic products are developed, and we don't think about the future. Take it one step at a time and try to keep our shop serving its old neighbors. She said.

Ten years, twenty years, thirty years... Maybe for a longer time, in the corners that are usually not noticed, old photo studios like this are still silently sticking. Although the times are changing, the warmth of the old photo studio has not changed.
