On Sunday night local time, former IBF lightweight champion Robert Easter Jr. was robbed by three robbers and shot three times, is undergoing surgery to remove bullet debris and is now out of danger of life.
At 6:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, Robert was wandering the streets of Cincinnati when he was suddenly intercepted by three robbers chasing him from behind, the robbers asked him for money, he ran away, and the robbers shot him three times in a row, and finally the robbers snatched his three diamond rings, mobile phones and two gold chains.
Robert is currently undergoing surgery at a hospital in Cincinnati to remove bullet debris, but fortunately, his injuries are expected to fully recover.

Robert hasn't played in boxing since beating Ryan Martin last February, and it was the 23rd victory of his career. Although there are no scheduled matches, Robert is training and plans to return to the field in early 2022 before being shot by robbers.
But Robert now has to pause plans to make a comeback because he needs time to recover from surgery. After suffering consecutive defeats in lightweight competitions, he recently raised his weight to 140 pounds to continue the challenge.
The 31-year-old boxer, who has been busy tackling issues outside the ring since the last match, was charged with a misdemeanor last August. He was accused of beating a woman and making her unconscious. The woman reportedly had cracked lips and missing teeth. He was sentenced to two years' probation.
