On February 9, the surging news (www.thepaper.cn) reporter learned from AutoX (Antu) that its Robotaxi fleet has exceeded 1,000 units, becoming the largest fully unmanned Robotaxi fleet in China and even the world.
In September 2019, as one of the leading companies in the field of autonomous driving, AutoX officially settled in Jiading, Shanghai. At the end of 2019, AutoX was among the new regulations 2.0 for autonomous driving in Shanghai and the first upgraded license was issued. In late August 2020, the AutoX Shanghai Autonomous Driving Demonstration Application was officially opened to the public. In July 2021, AutoX released AutoX Gen5, China's first truly fully unmanned autonomous driving technology platform, in Jiading, Shanghai.
Previously, the world's largest Robotaxi fleet came from Waymo, the parent company of Google, with a fleet size of about 800 units. At present, the number of AutoX RoboTaxi fleets has surpassed Waymo, and thousands of vehicles are fully driverless. This means that AutoX becomes the first driverless company in the world to have a fleet of more than 1,000 RoboTaxi units.
AutoX's more than 1,000 unmanned vehicles are mainly distributed in the four first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. As of February 2022, AutoX's Robotaxi autonomous driving domain totals more than 1,000 square kilometers, making it currently the world's largest Robotaxi autonomous driving area.
In addition to long-term investment in testing, operation and talent, in July 2021, AutoX's first fully driverless super worker in China was officially completed, designed and built for mass production of truly unmanned vehicles, ensuring the quality and consistency of the production of each unmanned vehicle. Since the use of the production line, the full line has been maintained and the high-speed mass production has been maintained.
