IT House February 9 news, for the new Raspberry Pi, the installation of the operating system usually requires the help of another computer. But if the user doesn't have another computer in the first place, how do they install the operating system on the SD card?
Recently, the Raspberry Pi officially solved this problem, in the latest beta version of the Raspberry Pi bootloader, the Raspberry Pi can directly install the operating system through the network. All you need is a network cable to download the system from the Internet and install it.
According to the official introduction, the new network installation feature can launch the Raspberry Pi Imager application directly on the Raspberry Pi 4 or Raspberry Pi 400. The Raspberry Pi Imager application will run in the Raspberry Pi's memory and then, as normal, install the operating system on a blank SD card or USB disk.
IT House understands that users currently need to install the beta version of Raspberry Pi bootloader to use this feature, which will be built into all Raspberry factories in the future. For specific installation methods, you can click here to view the official tutorial.
