The ADP3339 is part of the ADP33xx family of precision low dropout anyCAP® voltage regulators with an input voltage range of 2.8 V to 6 V and a maximum load current of 1.5 A. The device's novel architecture and improved process provide superior performance over traditional LDOs, superior performance advantages over competitive products, and higher output currents. It features a patented design that requires only a 1.0 μF output capacitor to remain stable. The device is insensitive to the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the output capacitor and is stable with any good quality capacitor, including ceramic (MLCC) type capacitors for space-constrained applications. The ADP3339 achieves excellent accuracy of 0.9% at room temperature and 1.5% accuracy over temperature, line, and load variations. At 1.5 A, the dropout voltage is only 230 mV (typical). The device also features safe current limiting and thermal overload protection. At light loads, the ADP3339 has an ultralow quiescent current of 130 μA (typ).
