At present, the road surface temperature of the Jiulingshan section of the Erguang Expressway is 2 °C, and the road surface temperature of the ZhugaiShan section is 3 °C, and the traffic on the whole line is normal.

The Erguang Expressway implements the system of leaders taking shifts on duty, establishes an emergency command center for ice and snow weather disasters, and coordinates and organizes various working groups to carry out relevant work in strict accordance with the special emergency plan for ice and snow weather disasters. At present, the reserves of emergency materials on the whole line are sufficient, and there are more than 30,000 traffic safety cones, about 400 tons of snow melting agent, more than 120 sets of vehicle snow chains, more than 160 pieces of cold suits and other anti-ice emergency materials in 13 anti-ice special warehouses such as the anti-ice base in the West Bank, Fengyang and Taibao, as well as more than 20 anti-ice mechanical vehicles. At the same time, the full mobilization and deployment, by the road administration, maintenance, rescue and other anti-ice linkage units to form an emergency support team of more than 100 people, all-weather standby.

The Erguang Expressway also increased the monitoring and rotation of the entire line of easy-to-freeze road sections, organized more than 40 road administration team members to set up an anti-icing vanguard team, in the way of two shifts and two operations, took turns to be on duty at the anti-ice stations along the Jiuling Mountain and Zhugai Mountain along the line, strengthened patrol management and road traffic diversion, carried out manual measurement of road temperature every 2 hours, and set up prompt boards on the easy-to-freeze pavement.

In addition, the Erguang Expressway implements hierarchical control according to the road traffic flow, and the joint high-speed traffic police and rescue units have set up a total of 10 joint baochang stationing points in key sections of the whole line, implemented a rapid evacuation mechanism for minor accidents, and set up a rapid claim settlement point at the exit of the Liannan toll station.
