The driver who hit and killed the Canadian millionaire was sentenced to 20 months.
In November 2019, 80-year-old Petro-Canada millionaire Jean Carey drove a classic car made by Knox in 1903 for the London-Brighton Rally.
The vintage car is like a rickshaw, with no front windshield, doors or roof, and a top speed of 30 mph.
Mr Carey ended up on the highway after mistakenly taking the bypass to the M23 instead of the designated rally route on the A23.
Soon after, Michael Black, 52, was driving a Scania dump truck full of trash into the 100-year-old classic car, which was only about 20 kilometers per hour. Carey was killed on the spot and her wife was seriously injured.
Police then analyzed the truck driver's cell phone and found that the driver was calling a friend at the time of the collision.
After two years of delay, this matter has followed.
Not long ago, Guildford Criminal Court sentenced truck drivers to 20 months in prison and disqualified from driving for 22 months.
After the judgment took effect, British netizens began to disagree.

Absolutely disgusting - the maximum sentence for this crime is FOURTEEN YEARS - and he gets a paltry 20 months. Our judges are a joke
"Absolutely disgusting — the maximum sentence for such a crime is fourteen years — and he gets only a minuscule 20 months. Our judge is a joke."
So in a situation like this, how long should the sentence be?
