In order to carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, let the public understand the beauty of ancient books, and make the words written in ancient books come alive, on February 10, on the occasion of the Lantern Festival, the exhibition of rare and ancient books hosted by Zaozhuang Culture and Tourism Development Center and undertaken by Zaozhuang City Library was launched in the hall on the first floor of Zaozhuang City Library.

The exhibition is divided into two parts: the real book exhibition and the exhibition board exhibition, showing a total of 60 precious ancient books. The exhibits displayed in this exhibition are not only the precious ancient books selected for the first, second and third batches of the "List of Precious Ancient Books of Shandong Province", such as the Ming Chongzhen Five-Year Mao's Ancient Pavilion Inscribed Book of Shangshu Commentary, the Ming Chongzhenjian Inscribed Book of Rites, the Qing Kangxi Forty-Year Jinling Mustard Garden Engraving "Pictorial Biography", the Qingqianlong Four-Year Wuyingdian Inscribed "Three Kingdoms Chronicle", etc., as well as some characteristic ancient books, such as the peak work of the Ming Dynasty's early Min's lithography technology, "The Illustration of the Qingding Book", the local rare ancient book Qingguang Xuan Thirty-two Years Huade Zhongxing Coal Mine Lithography "The Lithography of the Thirty-second Year Huade Zhongxing Coal Mine". The exhibits are exquisitely engraved, illustrated and rich, and the vermilion ink is brilliant, which is both academic and full of ornamentation. The exhibition attracts many lovers of ancient books and the public to come and watch. Zaozhuang City Library staff gave detailed explanations to the visitors on the value of the editions, artistic values, and storage and transmission processes of the ancient books in the exhibition, which helped readers to understand and recognize traditional Chinese culture.

In recent years, with the efforts of zaozhuang ancient book workers, the protection of ancient books in zaozhuang city has been at the forefront of the province. In the province, it took the lead in completing the census of ancient books, and published the "Zaozhuang City Library Ancient Books Census Registration Catalogue File" (green book). With the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Zaozhuang City Library has a total of 30 ancient books and 446 volumes selected into the "Directory of Precious Ancient Books of Shandong Province". Completed the digitization of more than 20 thousand leaves of ancient books in the collection, and was jointly released online by the National Library of China. For 13 consecutive years, it has been rated as an advanced unit in the protection of ancient books in Shandong Province. In order to focus on the results of the zaozhuang city ancient book census, the Zaozhuang city library will hold different ancient book exhibitions every year to allow readers to approach ancient books, understand ancient books, and disseminate ancient book knowledge. Zaozhuang City Library Collection of Treasures and Ancient Books Exhibition has become an important reader activity brand of Zaozhuang City Library.
