Zhaobao Mountain No. 2
After a walk around Zhaobao Mountain. Found that the forts were not large enough, although I also saw that there were two guns... The child is still not happy enough, even after visiting the two exhibition halls, he still has his heart in mind the Zhenhai Fort...
So we saw a cannon by the side of Zhenhai Haitang, the location is more unique, the cannon barrel position is just perpendicular to Zhaobao Mountain (tangential position), but the son said that it is not this, it turned out that he searched for it on the Internet is not like this, so he continued to search, walked for about 20 minutes, and finally he found a more majestic, larger fortress site. It turned out to be the site of Anyuan Fort.
Anyuan Fort is located in the south of Zhaobao Mountain, on the north bank of the Yongjiang River, facing the river. The fort was built in 1885. Anyuan Fort is across the road from the Zhaobao Mountain Toll Scenic Area, but it is very secluded, and there was not a single tourist when we were there. The iron gate opens diagonally on the side of the road, very inconspicuous. There was even a small car blocked in front of the door, and the door was not big. The scenic area is free.
Anyuan Fort is located in the south of Zhaobao Mountain, before the Battle of Zhenhai in the Sino-French War in the 10th year of the Qing Dynasty (1884), "Anyuan" was only a small fort, equipped with three small guns with 80 pounds of Armstrong breech guns. Construction was officially built in the autumn of 1885 to house the new 21 cm Krupp breech steel gun, which was re-expanded in 1887 and completed the following year.
The fort building is circular, with an inner diameter of 16.5 meters, a height of 6 meters, a wall thickness of 2 meters, a cannon in the middle, and the walls around it are made of three-in-one soil made of sandstone yellow mud glutinous rice juice. The center of the fort is placed on the ground with a circular rotating rail, and the cannon can rotate forward and backward along the rail, and the direction of the gun port can be adjusted during combat. However, in the War of Resistance Against Japan, Krupp's new breech steel gun was blown up by the Japanese.
On the side of the fort were two slightly smaller rows of cannons, facing the mouth of the Yong River.
Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there have been 46 major and minor wars. Therefore, Zhenhaikou is known as the gateway to eastern Zhejiang. Anyuan Fort has stood by the river for more than a hundred years, and after experiencing the erosion of wind and rain and the baptism of war, although it has been full of vicissitudes, it still stands majestically, and the bunker of the fort is scarred and the bullet marks are still faintly visible. They bear witness to China's history of humiliation in modern times.
The whole Zhaobao Mountain Scenic Area is still the most favorite Anyuan Fort. What comes to my mind the most when I see them is the tears that the flag bearer unconsciously left behind when he raised the flag at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.
After a hundred years of humiliation, how many martyrs have exchanged for the current quiet and tranquil life...
