Bayern defender Sal said in an interview with the Munich Daily news that he was proud to follow Senegal to win the Africa Cup of Nations.
Sal said: "I am very happy, this is the first time I have followed Senegal to participate in the competition. Everyone in this country wants us to win our first Africa Cup of Nations title, and I'm proud to be a part of Senegal's history. This is a historic moment, both for Senegal and for me. ”
Commenting on his goal after returning to Bayern, Sal said: "My goal has not changed, whether as a substitute or a starter, I want to get as much playing time as possible. Hopefully, my performance at the Africa Cup of Nations has proven that I am capable of playing for Bayern. I give my all in every training session and hopefully the Africa Cup of Nations will give me more opportunities and prove that I play better than I used to. ”
"Nagelsman explained to me at the beginning that he had high expectations of me. I train hard and do my best. I always look at myself and optimize my performance. Every season I focus on myself, I'm definitely a Bayern player now and I'm going to do everything I can to stay at Bayern and that's what I'm focused on. ”
