Recently, Sony First-Party Studios, the "Uncharted" series, and the developer of the "Last Survivor" series, Naughty Dog, have openly recruited a large number of positions. Among them, Game Design game design and Program Development positions ranked top 2 in terms of demand, and Technical Art technical art jobs ranked 3rd.
Is there a positive signal from this recruitment of a large number of positions: Naughty Dog will develop a new IP?
What I am slightly puzzled by is that if a new IP is developed, why is there no Technology Lawyer in this recruitment list? There is a growing demand for Tech Lawyers in the industry, and due to the evolution of the Internet and globalization, game developers need to have professionals who advise on technical and intellectual property law, as well as on privacy laws, data protection, and cybersecurity.
If Naughty Dog does have a new game series (new IP) in the works, it's definitely great news.
