According to the data, China's automobile market production and sales in 2020 were 25.23 million units, of which commercial vehicles were only 4.908 million units, but their fuel consumption accounted for half of the total fuel consumption of automobiles, creating 56% of the carbon emissions of road transportation. "The new energy conversion rate of commercial vehicles will be much faster than that of passenger cars. Since the beginning of this year, the field of new energy commercial vehicles has gradually changed from policy-oriented to market-oriented two-wheel drive. Over the years, through the continuous debate and continuous improvement of product technology, everyone's cognition of new energy has become more concentrated and the consensus has become more concentrated. In the future, the speed of new energy for commercial vehicles will be faster and faster. We predict that by 2025, the proportion of urban new energy commercial vehicles will exceed 50%. It is understood that Geely Commercial Vehicle will accelerate brand upgrading and product iteration in 2021, and also hopes to increase the scale of sales on the basis of the previous strategic layout. Among them, new energy commercial vehicles have become a key area.
"Since its establishment, Geely Commercial Vehicle Group has always regarded green new energy technology as the leading technical direction for entering the field of commercial vehicles. As early as six years ago, we have formulated two major technical routes to support Geely commercial vehicles, one is the urban commercial vehicle route dominated by pure electricity and extended range technology, and the other is the technical route of highway commercial vehicle products with methanol clean energy and charging and replacing integration technology as the core. In fact, Geely started late in the commercial vehicle market and did not officially enter the commercial vehicle field until 2016 through the acquisition of Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co., Ltd. Subsequently, Geely released its commercial vehicle brand "Remote Vehicle", focusing on the development and production of pure electric, range extender and other new energy and methanol and other clean energy commercial vehicles. Compared with the leading position of passenger cars, Geely has a small voice in the field of commercial vehicles, especially compared with FAW, Dongfeng and other leading commercial vehicle companies.

In order to make up for the shortcomings of commercial vehicles, Geely Commercial Vehicles has carried out a series of mergers and acquisitions, hoping to expand the commercial vehicle market. "New energy commercial vehicles are completely different from the traditional marketing model. We must use new marketing models to create new formats, and integrate people, vehicles, goods, fields (scenes), including finance, to provide maximum support to users. Official data shows that from January to May this year, long-range car sales increased by 761% year-on-year. Among them, light commercial vehicles increased by 1034% year-on-year, and heavy trucks increased by 1079% year-on-year. From January to May, long-distance light merchants ranked third in the field of new energy light commerce, of which the sales volume of pure electric light trucks ranked first.
