On October 9th, the 6th Chongqing Municipal Commendation Conference for Model Workers and Advanced Workers was held in the Auditorium of the People's Building. This commendation awarded 322 people the honorary title of "Chongqing Model Worker" and 175 people the honorary title of "Chongqing Advanced Worker".

Brief introduction of Comrade Li Ying
Li Ying, female, Han ethnicity, born in 1963, a native of Banan, Chongqing, is a member of the Communist Party of China, and is currently the deputy chief physician of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. In 2011, he was awarded the title of "Pacesetter of Professional Ethics Construction" by chongqing health system employees, in 2017, he was awarded the title of "May 1st Pacesetter" of Chongqing Municipal Education, Science, Culture and Health System, and in 2018, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Physician of Chongqing Municipality" on the First Chinese Doctors' Day in 2018.
Comrade Li Ying has been striving in the frontline of oral primary medical work for 40 years, striving for excellence in technology and continuing to carry out technological innovation combined with rich clinical experience. He has participated in 3 municipal scientific research projects and presided over 1 college-level scientific research project. He has published 10 papers in domestic and foreign journals and participated in the compilation of "Modern Aesthetic Plastic Surgery". In 2020, he went to Urumqi Stomatological Hospital for medical support for cleft lip and palate repair surgery, during which he cooperated to complete 10 cleft lip and palate surgeries, bringing rehabilitation gospel to local cleft lip and palate patients.
"Noble medical ethics, exquisite medical skills", "The heart that made our whole family hang for 1 year finally fell", "You made me show the sweetest smile"... These affectionate words on the pennant are the honor of Li Ying's saving lives and helping the injured, and they are also the trust and gratitude of the patients for her affection and fist. On the medical avenue, she spilled sweat all the way and interpreted an ordinary and warm story, bringing surprises and hopes to patients.
Li Ying once received a tongue cancer patient who was depressed due to excessive mental stress, unwilling to undergo surgery, and even lost confidence in life. During the rounds, she repeatedly communicated with patients, listed many successful cases, and helped patients slowly let go of their mental burdens and accept surgery happily. After more than 8 hours of "fighting" without stopping, the operation was successfully completed. In order to observe the color of the flap and the change of the condition, Li Ying waited in the ward all night despite tiredness, and continued to carry out other operations the next day. Stories like this happen every day, but they are not the same.
With professional technology and rich experience, Li Ying has rescued patients in distress again and again. In the most thrilling one, a construction worker was pierced through the right side of the face from the chin by a steel bar more than one meter long, breaking two front teeth from the position next to the nose, and the steel bar was about 90 centimeters long and pressed on the patient's chest, and the injured part had multiple nerves and blood vessels passing through, facing serious life danger. Because the rebar is close to the nose, the anesthesiologist cannot perform the anesthesia intubation in a normal way, and how to remove the rebar, which is more than one meter long, is also a difficult problem. At a loss, Li Ying cleverly cut a 5 mm small opening on each side of the rebar insertion position, and slowly withdrew from the rebar in a spiral manner, which well avoided the damage to the rich large blood vessels around the wound. In the face of the patient's tearful gratitude after recovering, she just smiled faintly and said, "This is what I should do."
Over the past 40 years, Li Ying has accumulated rich experience in cleft lip and palate surgery and plastic surgery, and has implemented free surgical treatment for more than 100 poor cleft lip and palate patients, and traveled 2,000 kilometers to Xinjiang to provide free surgical treatment for poor cleft lip and palate patients, so as to regain the lost smile and rebuild the confidence in life for patients.
