The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics are in full swing! Behind the wonderful and exciting events, it is inseparable from the full efforts of the Olympic athletes, and it is also inseparable from the painstaking efforts of countless people!
Yangpu of them,
Empower the Winter Olympics.
Come and see the Winter Olympics
What are the "Yangpu powers"!
Yangpu aunt woven velvet roses
Stitch by stitch, fingers flying, hairy red roses gradually taking shape... This year, the award bouquets for the Beijing Winter Olympics are no longer cut flowers from the past, but are instead made of handmade velvet threads. Among them, the makers of roses are more than 100 aunts and mothers from Yangpu District, with an average age of more than 60 years old.
In 2010, the Craftsman's Mother Workshop was established. The members are good at needlework, sometimes weaving scarves for the elderly in the community, sometimes knitting socks for the poor... In September last year, the aunts received the task of making the Bouquet of the Winter Olympic Awards. And Yangpu's "skillful mothers" are responsible for the extremely large number of roses in the bouquet. Everyone was both happy and surprised by this. "The difficulty of making roses is very high because it is very demanding on stitching." Huang Hongying, the leader of the Team of Qiao Hand Mother Craft Workshop in Yangpu District, said.
Usually, a rose is made by a person from beginning to end and takes at least 8 hours. In order to improve efficiency, more than 100 aunts and mothers divide labor and cooperate, of which more than 130 people "work from home" every day and weave rose parts. The rest of the people specially assemble flowers at the Yangpu District Women and Children's Activity Center. The 80-year-old Mou Guoying, the oldest of the participants, said, "As soon as I thought that our flower could 'fly' to the rest of the world and be seen by foreign friends as a Chinese craft and folk treasure, I felt that I had also made a contribution to the dissemination of art." ”
The last torchbearer is the Upper Body Scout!
On the evening of February 4, 2022, the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing was held at the National Stadium. Zhao Jiawen, a 2021 undergraduate student at the School of Physical Education and Training of Shanghai University of Sport, is one of the last torchbearers. He and Dinigal Yilamujiang, as the "post-00s" winter sports players, lit the main torch of the Winter Olympics on the stage.
On February 9, Zhao Jiawen embarked on the snow field to achieve the debut of the Winter Olympics in China's Nordic biathlon. In the end, he finished 43rd with a time of 33 minutes and 29 seconds. But when he's on the track of this project, he has already made history. China has never had an athlete who has qualified for the Nordic Biathlon Olympics.
Zhao Jiawen is a cross-country skier. As long as it doesn't rain, he will go to the venue or wind tunnel every morning for special training. In addition to the regular training completed in quality and quantity, Zhao Jiawen often practiced independently.
The Nordic two are considered one of the hardest snow sports. Since starting to practice Nordic biathlon, Zhao Jiawen has not returned home in six years. The number of teammates around him has shrunk from about 20 to only 5. With a strong sense of death, he persevered and made achievements. Zhao Jiawen appeared in front of the world as the main torchbearer, and his excitement was unforgettable. He said in the circle of friends, "Thank you to the motherland for giving me this sacred moment, let me light the main torch." I will definitely keep in mind the sense of mission and responsibility on my body, strive to show the hard and tenacious willpower of Chinese athletes on the field, and strive to break through my best results. ”
The Upper Poly alumnus serve as curling referees
Wang Jue, a 2011 alumnus of the School of Management of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, took to the field as an international technical officer at the Winter Olympics. Wang Jue and curling were formed at the 2009 Women's Curling World Championships. At that time, watching the Chinese women's curling team win the championship for the first time with 12 consecutive victories, Wang Jue, who has always loved sports, became interested in curling. After graduating from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in 2011, she followed her heart and threw herself into the sports industry, and officially became a curling coach in 2017.
"It's still hard to focus on refereeing for up to two or three hours, to keep a clear line of thinking in the face of all kinds of mistakes and handling disputes."
In order to better direct the competition, Wang Jue has done a lot of preparations, understanding the rules of the game, maintaining physical fitness, learning language... She even prepared some traditional Chinese cultural knowledge. "The Winter Olympics are during the Spring Festival, and I think if there are foreign friends who are interested in our culture, I can introduce them to them." We have done a lot of preparation, it is a long process, every day is slowly accumulating, just want to present the best state to the Winter Olympics. ”
They help athletes make history
On the evening of February 11, the final of the men's steel frame snowmobile at the Beijing Winter Olympics came to an end, and athlete Yan Wengang won the bronze medal, which was the first time that a Chinese athlete had reached the podium of the Winter Olympics in the steel frame snowmobile event.
Shanghai University of Sport, as the permanent base of the summer training of the China Steel Frame Snow Team, under the leadership of Professor Gao Binghong of the Physical Education and Training College, provides a variety of scientific and technological research services for the Steel Frame Snow Team. Since 2019, the scientific and technological research team led by Professor Gao Binghong has participated in the preparation of scientific and technological research services, and has established a "6+2" training guarantee model for the steel frame snow team to monitor and regulate the functional state, training load, special ability, training method, action technology and psychological state, as well as physical fitness and rehabilitation, nutrition and recovery.
In June 2021, after the steel frame snow team ended the last summer training in Shanghai after the preparation cycle of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport sent a letter of thanks to the Shanghai Institute of Sport, affirming the selfless guarantee efforts and rigorous work attitude of the Shanghai Institute of Sport and Professor Gao Binghong's team, escorting the preparation work for many years and helping the team climb one competitive peak after another. In July last year, at the Commendation Conference for the 2020-2021 Season of Ice and Snow Projects and the Awarding Ceremony of Certificates of China Ice and Snow Science Consultant held at the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China, the Shanghai University of Sport was awarded the honorary title of "China Ice and Snow Science and Technology Joint Research Unit".
"Tongji Wisdom" overcomes difficulties and empowers the Winter Olympics
In 2020, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Professor Tang Shuoning of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University presided over the project of "Research on the Intelligent and Sustainable Operation Mode and Application of Shuang'ao Venues", and jointly tackled the problems with the Beijing Architectural Design Institute and Harbin Institute of Technology. For the first time, the project has built a correlation model of scene conversion elements of stadiums and stadiums in Shuang'ao, a database for sustainable operation of water and ice sports venues, and the first professional intelligent sustainable venue operation evaluation platform and a smart prediction model for the construction and operation of new venues, and established a special Chinese traditional culture image lighting translation system for the "Water Cube".
On Xiaohaituo Mountain in Yanqing District, Beijing, the National Bobsleigh Center
Like a wandering dragon soaring above a ridge. This is the only bobsleigh track in China. In addition to the concrete spray pavement, the upper part of the track is composed of awning system, anti-rolling device, anti-collision board system and so on. Professor He Minjuan of the School of Civil Engineering of Tongji University led a team to help the steel and wood structure awning anti-collision board construction enterprises to conduct research on the mechanical properties of the wood used in the system to ensure the successful application of domestic rubber wood after polymer modification. The team also conducted research and construction process analysis on the structural properties of the awning steel structure bracket and the giant plywood beam to ensure the safe, reliable and orderly construction of the project.
The National Alpine Ski Center relies on the natural mountain plan of Xiaohaituo Mountain to build 7 ski trails, with a total length of 21 kilometers and a drop of about 800 meters. In the construction of the National Alpine Ski Center, the team of Associate Professor Guo Xiaonong of the School of Civil Engineering of Tongji University has empowered with the power of scientific and technological innovation to help improve the assembly level of the venue and auxiliary facilities and ensure the safety of the whole life of the venue.
In addition, Professor Yu Haitao of the School of Civil Engineering of Tongji University participated in the scientific research project of "Research on Key Technologies for the Construction of Olympic Tram Projects in Complex Environments in Cold Areas" led by Shanghai Urban Construction Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., committed to the research on the vibration influence and control technology of Olympic tram trains in seasonal frost heave soil environment, and overcame the problems of freeze heave and sinking of seasonal frozen soil tram subgrade and train vibration control. It ensures the operational safety and environmental synergy of the Olympic trams in the complex environment of the cold area.
