Nowadays, there are many anime that have been reborn and crossed other worlds, and some of them can guess the follow-up trend when they look at the beginning, but the "Roman Baths NOVAE" that I want to talk about today is a work from ten years ago, but it is not cheesy at all. This manga masterpiece by Mari Yamazaki won the 2010 Manga Award, the Short Story Award at the 14th Osamu Tezuka Prize for Culture, and the second prize for the male section "This Manga Is Really Great".
In 2012, the game had been released as a live-action movie and only 6 episodes of ova, and recently the anime officially released the main visual map and the official trailer, and announced that Kenjiro Tsuda was the protagonist voiced, and the original author of the "Roman Baths" manga, Yamazaki Mari, the screenwriter and coordinator, will be released on Netflix on March 28.
The story takes place in ancient Rome, a time when baths were prevalent. The protagonist, Lucius, is a bath designer who loves to work, but because he does not know how to innovate, his designs are completely rejected. Just when he was depressed, his good friend asked him to go to the bath to take a bath, but the bath was too noisy and he sank into the water to find inspiration.
He saw a hole in the water, and when he came over, he was suddenly sucked into it by a strong suction force, and when he came out of the water, he found him in a strange bathhouse. He was struck by the mirrors in the bathhouse, the switches that adjusted the temperature of the water, the tiny plastic basins, the murals on the walls, and so on, which they didn't have in that country. Just when he lamented that the drink in the bathhouse was so good that he wanted to cry, he fainted, woke up again and returned to Rome.
So he designed a bath based on what he had seen in the past, and it was no accident that he was on fire. Later he met his teacher in the bathhouse, learned that the teacher wanted a private bath of his own, the teacher said that after the bath towel fell into the water, Lucis went to the water to pick up and crossed again, this time he crossed into the bathroom of an ordinary person's home, he was curious to study these things, accidentally sprayed by the spray and he fainted, and when he woke up, he designed a private bathroom for the teacher according to what he had seen.
Since then, he has become famous, even the emperor has come to him to design a bathroom, so every time someone asks him to design a bathroom, he will cross due to various accidents, and he begins a time-travel adventure between ancient Rome and Japan...
The story is quite interesting, the male protagonist every time he sees those novel things in the past reaction is very interesting, especially the first time in the modern toilet, see the toilet lid will open on its own, he thought that someone behind him was pulling. And the magic is that the language is clear, each speaking its own, the male protagonist can actually communicate with those old men who are bathing. Probably to prevent being spat at and fried, the writer/original author continued the story while adding a wonderful plot that was different from the original manga.
