The Lotus Type 132 model will debut worldwide in March 2022. The new car is the first product developed based on the EPA architecture, as an E-class electric off-road vehicle that broke in 3 seconds.
In terms of appearance, the Type 132 is equipped with an active lower air intake grille, a diamond-shaped mid-mesh and a large number of carbon fiber kits, the low body effectively reduces air resistance, the shape of the daytime running lights is L-shaped, further increasing the body recognition of the Type 132, and the new car is also equipped with an active rear spoiler.
Lotus points out that the active grille shutter is a true Lotus air management solution with a dual purpose for cooling and enhancing frontal aerodynamics.
In terms of interior, the Lotus Type 132 model uses the latest interior design, and the central control screen can be flipped. In addition, the lines of the center console of the new car present a simple style, with the stitching process, to enhance the sense of quality.
In terms of power, Lotus said it will be equipped with a high-power motor with an acceleration time of 0-96km/h in about 3 seconds. In addition, the car can be equipped with an 800V high-voltage charging system, charging to 80% in only 20 minutes, and the maximum charging power can reach 350kW.
Lotus's new architecture is highly malleable and can produce models with wheelbases ranging from 2998mm to 3100mm, accommodating battery capacities ranging from 90-120kWh, or will offer a range of more than 400 mi (632 km).
According to lotus's planning, starting from 2022, Lotus will successively launch the E-class pure electric intelligent SUV TYPE 132, the E-class pure electric intelligent four-door coupe TYPE 133, and the new species of pure electric intelligence TYPE 134, and launch the Type 135 electric sports car in 2026.
